Between the nightmare and the way his brother had just been straddling him, Ed had given up on sleep at this point. "Yeah, yeah. I'm not doing anything." At least intentionally, but he's not going to add that part, instead curling onto his side once he's released.

He's not entirely sure Al not going anywhere is going to help, but he doesn't voice that thought, fully aware his brother wouldn't get the reasoning behind it anyway. Not that he wanted him to. "Go back to sleep, Al." Considering he was already watching Ed before the nightmare woke him, he wasn't sure his brother had even gotten any since the night began.

Al considers arguing for a moment, but fatigue pulls on him. He hasn't slept yet and with Ed seemingly trying to go back to sleep, he curls up next to his brother and figures he'll at least try. If anything, Ed will wake him again if something comes up and Al closes his eyes.

"Good night, Brother," he murmurs finally, cuddled as close to his brother as possible while sleep finally takes him.
