who: Wanda Maximoff (MCU) and Tony Stark (616)
what: Nail Painting and Gossip. No, really.
when: Late evening, March 28th, 2017
where: Communal area of Floor 6
warnings: Nothing major expected, will adjust warnings here if applicable.
[Weeks now, she's been in Riverview, and while it feels nothing like home to her now she is starting to feel settled. It's a dangerous feeling, considering all things. Getting used to this place means that she and the others risk getting content. Perhaps in light of all things, it isn't so terrible. Before she arrived here, she'd just been neutralized at the airport, minutes if not seconds away from being taken into custody and imprisoned, no doubt. Being here means that she and the others aren't back home protecting their world and trying to fix this mess, however.
Still young, not much of a leader, she's been following the lead of her teammates instead. Integrating. Observing. Getting to know the locals and the others brought here. She's even managed to make a handful of friends from other worlds who interest her and hosted a small feast for Saint Nikolina during Sampremi. And then there was the recent infestation in the sewers beneath the city...
Suffice to say that tonight, as she sits cross legged on the couch in the communal area, she feels she's earned a little down time. Tonight she indulges herself in a little self-care, breaking open a very simple but brand new manicure kit. She's removed the old polish from her nails in the bathroom, and now meticulously files her nails down to short ovals to repaint. Her toenails are ready for color with a base coat already drying. Considering all things it seems an unnecessary thing for her to do. She's an Avenger and painted nails are hardly important in the field. Still, it's the one normal thing she can do for herself just about anywhere. Nail polish is apparently not only universal but dimensional, and the task is centering for her. She can tune out just about anything or anyone who comes in while focusing on this.
Well, almost anyone.
It's hard not to double-take when Tony talks into the room. They've seen each other in passing before, exchanged a few words but nothing of consequence. Wanda hasn't gone out of her way to meet him and he hasn't made an effort to speak with her at any length. Truthfully Wanda would have waited until the dinner Sam wants to put together before making an effort but sometimes chance meetings happen, like this. Still holding her file, she tilts her head to the side curiously. After hearing what she has about the Wanda of their world, she's trying her best not to judge Tony in advanced based on the actions of his counterpart in her world.]

No.
It had been one of the rare times where he managed more than three hours in an actual bed (thank you, Stephen, he's onto you), and he doesn't look like a complete disaster of a human, but there is no coffee on his floor so-- So Tony goes looking. He knows that there are emergency coffee stashed somewhere, but he isn't risking Loki's wrath right now, and the shit that Barnes leaves out can be used as adhesive for the suit, so he thinks that maybe, maybe, he has a chance to find some on the floor that Sam lives on.
It's not stealing, he will replace it. Honest.
At least, he will if he manages to actually make it to the coffee. Tony is half way across the room before a voice alerts him to the fact that maybe the floor isn't empty and maybe he should try not to look like a total creep. Turning, Tony sees that it's Wanda. Not the Wanda he has known, but another, younger in many senses but also-- not. They haven't talked much, but from what he has kind of garnered from their few interactions (and her covering his ass in the tunnels that one time) is that she seems to have a bit more of a head on her shoulders than what he is used to. Granted, he has been wrong before.]
Errr, less like someone and more like banking on the vague hope that maybe Sam has delicious coffee stored somewhere because Loki is a jerk and hid mine?
[ When in doubt, blame Loki.]

Still, in light of the circumstances she's inclined to be generous. Putting down her file, she carefully eases up from the couch and approaches. Her eyes study him curiously as she does, taking the length of time to get to the kitchen to indulge herself before turning around the edge of the counter. If Loki hid his coffee then she can extend a caffeinated branch in sympathy.]
You have to promise not to tell anyone where I've been hiding mine.
[She slips over to a cabinet filled with various cereal boxes and pulls out one of what appears to be a beaten up box of bland, shredded wheat. Wanda gives it a little shake--and turns to offer Tony a faint smile before opening the box and tugging out a sealed bag of whole coffee beans.]
Here. Take this for later. There's more in the pot if you need a cup now.
[She may have brewed some for herself earlier and it's no doubt fresh enough for another hour or so. Of course, giving him a stash of coffee and directing him to the pot is as far as her generosity extends for the moment. Not about to pour his cup for him, she instead places the coffee beans on the counter and steps out of the way to clear his path to the coffee pot. If that's what he wants, anyway.
With all that said and done, she leans against the kitchen counter, looking at him expectantly, wondering if he'll take the coffee and go or linger a while.]
