who: Jamie Dodger, Eichi Tenshouin, Eddie Thawne and Christian Fischer. what: Various dates purchased for charity. when: Throughout the week after the masquerade. where: Around the inner city. warnings: Dodger. Will update as needed.
[Dodger raises a brow at that.. no doubt Eichi is planning something, but his contact information is public so he doesn't mind Brink giving this out.]
I can send and receive text messages just like a phone, and I am linked to his network username. If you'll be contacting him, you would need to text the username "dodger".
[ Finally, he leans back a little, satisfied with all the petting and no longer seeming to care at all that he's in Dodger's lap. ] If there's a promised second date, you'll need my contact information, right? Or do you already have that, as well? You see, it wouldn't end well if you were to simply appear at my door, so let's keep it safe.
Yeah yeah, I've got it on my phone. [He huffs quietly.] Brink, add a new protocol - don't tell Tenshouin anything unless I give you permission to disclose it.
Understood.
Good, now sit back down and go into sleep mode until we're done here, alright?
Understood.
[He leans back, giving Eichi a look of "I'm onto you" as he does.]
You know so much, Dodger-kun, so why am I the one getting that look?
[Despite this alarming information, Eichi's better mood has him able to stay calm. Dodger doesn't seem to want to attack him after all, and he's quick to adapt to that sort of thing. So! He watches him, reaching a thumb to wipe at his face once more, like he missed some of that gelato from earlier.]
Do you also know where I work? Information like that isn't something I really hide, so I suppose it's there and in the open. You should come to one of my performances. Even Reaper-san has, you know. [These are not the things he should be sharing, and yet, sorry Reaper he's telling everyone.]
[He tips his head as Eichi touches him, leaning into the touch just a bit and relaxing at the touch. Just enough to silently welcome more of it.]
A fan gave me your network username - it's public information, after all. [He shifts his head slightly, just enough that Eichi's thumb ends up pressed to his bottom lip.] I haven't paid much attention to you... and I haven't seen Reaper go to your shows.
[He must have slipped past him.. he manages from time to time. After all, Dodger's teleportation isn't nearly as efficient as Reaper's cloud form. Though... he hasn't seemed to notice how much information he's let slip by mentioning it.]
Fufu, after all, I'm just a sickly idol, right? I was once viewed like that back home, as well. A nobody who couldn't do anything because of this weak body of mine. Unimportant and brushed to the side.
[But if this isn't paying much attention, then he must be really stalking Reaper. And if that's the case—] Missing him at such a large festival... you must have a blind spot, after all.
[He's joking about his eye... Subtly. He brushes his thumb over that bottom lip now.]
"When we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away..." or something like that, right? But there's no war here, right now. ♪
[With a little pat to Dodger's cheek, he stops the touching to try and slip right off his lap and stand up, instead.] I hope this wasn't disappointing for you. You look so much less entertained than you did at the start.
As far as I can tell, you spend more thought on your sickness than anyone around you does. [He grumbles, as he lets Eichi slip away and stands to follow him, Brink at his heel.] I don't care much about your dead-end job, you'll lose it as soon as you start to age anyway. And the music isn't anything I listen to. The only reason you're important to me is because of what you know.
[Despite the harsh words, he pulls Eichi closer as they exit the building, and moves close enough that their breath is mingling. For several moments, his fingers are in Eichi's hair and their lips are pressed together. And then he pulls away, casually calling a taxi via text as if nothing happened.]
I got what I wanted out of this. That's all that matters.
[Harsh words like that actually do hurt, even if Eichi refuses to show it on his face. He thinks about his sickness so much because he's struggling with it every minute of every day, pushing himself harder than everyone else to do the same things they do. It's frustrating. Irritating. And then, to think that he was raised to believe that people would only speak or be friends with him because of his worth to them, whatever he might have for their interests— it brings him back to that same line of thinking he thought he was finally breaking free from.
They're kissing before he can even mentally recover, and he reacts by pressing back a little harshly, since his only feelings are showing through this right now. Then it's over, and Eichi is left with a mildly surprised and flustered expression at that happening out of nowhere. Who just kisses someone out of the blue? Again?]
From what you were saying this whole time, I thought you wanted much more. But if you insist, then all that matters is that we both were satisfied in the end.
[This time, Dodger is happy to leave Eichi dazed and confused. Whether he's actually interested by it or just bemused by the fact that it happened doesn't matter to him, so much as the fact that he was able to make his own intentions painfully clear.]
I always want more - but we have a second date. There's no rush to get it all now... I can crack you open slowly. [His eye flickers over to Eichi again, slowly sizing him up.] Not that I'll say no if you feel like ending this date with a bang.
[What's that saying about sticking your dick in crazy, and which one does it apply to... Well, either way, that puts him in way too vulnerable of a position, and he's trying to avoid that right now.]
You should be careful trying to crack open something when you don't know what it really is. You could end up injured by doing that, you know. [That's the most he's going to bother with a metaphor right now, because he's tired...] It was nice to meet you, Brink-kun. ♪
[Meanwhile, he ducks down to pet the dog again. Robot butler dog. Pet pet pet.] Be sure to keep Dodger-kun company or he might get lonely.
[Brink stays silent this time, but pants happily as he's petted and gives Eichi a playful lick on the cheek. Amazing, he has saliva just like a real dog.
Dodger, on the other hand, seems put off by Eichi's comments, just a bit. He's still not used to pining after things he can't have, and Eichi has managed to frustrate him as much just tonight as Reaper has been frustrating him for months. As the taxi pulls up, he sighs and steps aside to let Eichi take it.]
I'll stay out a while longer, so you can have the cab to yourself.
[He needs a few more bottles of some strong alcohol to get the buzz of stress out of his head.]
[Ew, dog... But also that's weirdly cute? So he laughs it off, wiping his face with the back of his hand and standing up once the cab arrives. He glances curiously at Dodger during those words, but his works just fine for him. Humming in understanding, he moves to the cab and places a hand on the open door, pausing briefly to glance at him over his shoulder.]
Try not to find yourself in too much trouble, Dodger-kun.
[With just a thin smile at that, he sits down, waving with his fingers.] Bye bye.
