[Open] Just a night
who: Jason Todd, OTA.
what: Jay is settling in.
when: July 11th.
where: Floor Six, and Quarantine Bar, more may be added!
warnings: Most likely just language for now, but will update!
A: Floor Six - Open
Since moving into his space on Floor Six, Jason Todd had made it a point to rarely be in. Aside from attending the meeting that had happened the day before. It was the middle of the afternoon when Jay made his way inside home to long, he had dropped a couple bags on the kitchen counter, and his phone tossed inside of a cup to make the song playing off his phone play louder while he dug around for pans and a cutting board. Considering he had eaten out most of the festival he figured he needed to save money before he blew through it all. New clothes were still something he needed to buy, so food needed to be cheaper.
The older rock tunes floated through the sixth floor, as did the eventual smell of a vegetable stew. Jason himself had hoisted himself up to sit on the counter as he flipped through the friendr app. The stew would be ready within the hour, so he was mostly killing time. He didn't want to be hungry when he leaves later to go see Dick.
B: quarantine bar - Open
It was well near midnight when Jason found himself sitting at the Quarantine Bar. He had planned to head out to Trixie, and yet, decided at the last moment to skip out on it. Eventually he had found himself at the bar, sitting by himself with head propped on one hand with his fingers tangled in his dark hair. A beer sat in front of him half empty, he was listening to the sounds of the club. He was tired but he refused to even consider sleep while it was still so early in the night. Which was why he was reading to keep his mind occupied but not wandering.
Eventually he closed the book and lifted his arms over his head, stretching and yawning at the same time. He shifted off the stool and moved to go see if there was anyone sitting around he could bother at the late hour, with little concern for the fact he would have to be at work in the morning.

Rooftop nighttime meeting - Closed to Dick
When he arrived he moved to look for Dick, expecting him to be in his Nightwing suit. He really didn't know what to expect, which was odd given the fact it was a meeting he had wanted to have. He was right on time though, Jason was a lot of things, but late was rarely one of them. ]
Yo, Dickie, you here? [ Of course he knew he was, though Jay should have taken the helmet off first.]
no subject
Today Dick wears easy grace like armor, cartwheeling down from his perch into a lightfooted landing on an edge of loose scaffolding. His folds his arms; untouchable. Solid. He knows better this time than to show Jason anything else. ]
You seriously thought I wasn't gonna show?
[ Because he'd kind of been expecting to be stood up himself. ]
no subject
A sign of peace was the fact he didn't draw one of his guns when Dick cartwheeled down. Like with Bruce, sometimes Jason just loved to see how Dick worked. Idly wondering if Dick felt more free in his costumes to.
He walked to the edge keeping distance, and slipping his hands in his jacket pockets as he looked down through the helmet. ]
I wouldn't have blamed you. But no, I knew you'd show. [ The red helmet turned Dick's way, he didn't say anything else yet.]
no subject
Why not.
no subject
[ He shouldn't be surprised, but it got a laugh out of him. Reaching up he undid the helmet, mostly because laughing with it on sounded weird. When it was removed, he still had the red domino on. He sat down on the edge of the building, he might not trust a lot of things but he knew Dick wouldn't shove him off.]
We have a lot of bad blood between us, and if your serious about letting it run under the bridge, we can just leave it at that. Just, be warned, I am not the kid you knew, I can never be that person. In my time I'm only just starting to get back on friendly terms with everyone but I'm an outlaw, Dick. So, there you have it.
[ He looked out upon the city instead of at Dick, taking in the sight of the new city. Nothing like Gotham, which was good in a way, but not what he wanted. He couldn't deny it was still a hell of a view.]
no subject
Well if we're cutting to the chase... [ And he lowers himself carefully into the space beside Jason at last. The tension hasn't left his posture yet. ] -that kind of goes both ways.
I'm not exactly the same guy you have such a problem with.
no subject
[ He crossed his arms, looking over to Dick, sitting next to him. It felt better having Dick there, even if he knew he didn't deserve it.]
So, we've both changed. Do you really want to do this Dick? I can't promise I wont disappoint you again.

Closed for Loki (616)
Outside the door he crushed the cigarette out under his boot, and made his way inside heading to the elevator. He was fighting to keep his eyes open as he waited for the elevator to come, he was tipsy and tired, so stairs were not happening.
no subject
Green eyes, reflective as a cat's, glint in the dark as he watches Jason pass. He only speaks up when the man is stood waiting for the elevator like a zombie, with Loki hidden out of sheer skill as the god of sneakiness.
"Got a little too merry on the town tonight, Jason?"
no subject
"Not to merry, I could have had a whole lot more fun." The tired showed in his voice, and yet he shifted to lean on the wall and look to the trickster. "Your up late." He added, as if he had any real idea.
no subject
In a crumpled white shirt and dance-tossed hair, sure. He doesn't even try to lie convincingly, offering Jason a small smile.
"Been anywhere fun?"
no subject
"Went to the Quarantine to kill some time. I haven't really have much fun in awhile." He spoke, letting the tired blue eyes linger on Loki. "Question of the hour, do I Cinderella off and leave you here to your devices, or, do I go to the couch with you. Choices, choices."

"I find lots of things fun, Loki, lots of things. Why dont you tell me what you do for fun, and then we can talk about me."

A: Floor Six - Ninja-ing your shit!
Her steps are silent and depending on how much Jay was paying attention he might not even see her enter the kitchen. When he looked up from friendr he would see a short girl with short black hair and dark eyes. She was dressed like a ninja with a dark purple shirt, shorts and more blades than someone should be carrying, even in a kitchen. Her eyes were focused on the stew as if she was trying to find the best way to get it into her mouth.
Staring at the stew wasn't not accomplishing Yuffie's goal.
no subject
Those blue eyes shifted up after she was clearly in sight. Well, that wasn't something you see everyday, but still not completely outside of the spectrum of things he might consider strange. His eyes look over the blades then to her face.
"It's not ready yet." He's not dumb, theres only one reason someone would be in the kitchen with him.
no subject
She briefly looked around for a spoon and ended up with a ladle in her hand. It was like a spoon only a lot bigger.
no subject
"I may not matter to you, but it matters to me. So if your really so hungry you feel the need to sneak in and not even ask, then go sit down somewhere and I'll tell you when you can have some." He grumbled a bit, ready to stand guard if need be. It didn't actually need more time, but he had a timer set and was trying to stick to it.
no subject
You know, after a long history of picking fights that she was sure to loose. That and she really wanted some of the stew. Her stomach was protesting to the wait and it grumbled loud enough for Jason to now here.
"How long is the wait?" She walks over to the counter that he'd been sitting on and took a seat with an elegant hop. One of the blades flicked into her hand and began to skillfully move between her fingers.
Yuffie fidgets when she's bored.

Spending most of the evening watching the customers, Alec eventually moved to the bar, ordering something non-alcoholic. As he waited for his drink, he noticed the book, curious about both the title and the person who had been reading when most of the crowd were enjoying more 'interesting' activities. "What are you reading?"
no subject
"La Reine Margot, except its not the same as I read it when I was younger. Hell this is the third book I've picked up that I expected to know that's weird." He made a face taking a drink of his beer, then extended a hand. "Name's Jason, and you?"
no subject
"I don't know if I've read that one," he admitted. Which sounded strange. "Someone messed with my memories." That probably sounded just as strange but at least it was an explanation. "I'm Alec. How are the books weird?"
no subject
"Nice to meet you Alec. Well for starters, it takes place in the wrong country, and for some reason they have communicators... in 1572. Its not right. "
no subject
"Nice to meet you." Looking down at the book, tried to figure out why anyone would put communicators in Dumas. "Is it like those 'with zombies' books that were popular for awhile? Take a classic and make it 'better'." His tone suggested that he hadn't agreed with that particular literary idea.
no subject
"Oh god no, those are terrible, though I did kind of like the Vampire Hunter one that came out in the middle of all of that." He admitted. "This book is written like it was supposed to be that way, it's like it's from some other world. I cant figure it out. So, I'm just making mental notes in case it ever comes in useful."
