Lampyr is Here for You.
If anyone missed his commercial, or simply didn't want to respond to it, they may instead find his second marketing scheme. Around the city, usually hidden in alleyways, you may find a small display similar to sample trays in grocery stores. Each has a sign that says "DRINK ME" in a bright neon color, which matches the covered trays of drinks below it. Sketchy? Absolutely, but curiosity may take the better of you... or maybe you read the inscription on the table siting the tempting results of the liquid.
RED - ENRAGED LAMPYR: Feel as strong as an ox! Filled with bravery and fighting spirit! Defeat your foes without giving them a chance!
ORANGE - HONEST LAMPYR: Open up your inner emotions! Come to terms with startling truths! Share with others to learn their deepest secrets!
YELLOW - FEARFUL LAMPYR: Enhance your adrenaline! Give yourself goosebumps or share with enemies for a frightful surprise! Raise the stakes of night-time hide-and-seek!
GREEN - ENVIOUS LAMPYR: Test your social safety! Learn the intentions of others! Share with friends and lovers to learn their honest opinion of you!
BLUE - GRIEVING LAMPYR: Strengthen your bonds! Open the depths of your feelings! Instigate attachment with others!
PURPLE - AFFECTIONATE LAMPYR: Let go of your reservations! Accustom yourself with touch and social comfort! Become cuddly!
Each display also features a very crude drawing of a firefly showing the appropriate emotion, although it looks like a kindergartener drew it. One of these days Dodger will have to hire an artist. While your character will not see Dodger initially, he is watching from a nearby hiding place and will come to observe and mess with them if they take a sample, to see the effects of the drink.
The drink tastes spicy, savory, sour, bitter, sweet and minty respectively, although not particularly good regardless. They all have an aftertaste like cough syrup. Obviously the effects don't exactly match up with the claims; they simply give you a very strong form of that emotion, which may lead to side effects. Bloodlust, impulsive truths, paranoid hallucinations, a compulsive need to check your importance to others, uncontrollable crying, or a lovedrunk, affectionate stupor are respectively the most common side effects. Though the effects are strong, they are significantly lessened within an hour (when they stop entirely is up to the player) and the character will never do anything they are morally against.
While Dodger will generally try to speak to anyone who has inadvertently become a test subject, feel free to make open top-levels for others to come across your character in an affected state. Please assume that Dodger is watching them during their exchange, though, and any information passed between them is now known by him.

[Dodger's free hand runs through Christian's hair, and he shifts again to make himself more comfortable. The tea is definitely helping, enough that he can more around more easily, but his aches are still there. He'll just have to pointedly ignore them.]
I want you to get my mind off things. Injuries included. And I've been waiting two months, I figure I earned it.
no subject
It's not going to distract you if you hurt yourself and make it worse. You weren't even conscious when I got here, remember? You're in rough shape. Is this really a good time to push?
[He leans over Dodger and lays a cooling hand on the side of his neck, giving him a half smirk as he draws closer.]
What were you waiting for? A fun night with a stranger you met crying over nothing? That doesn't sound like an exciting prize. Don't you have a line of options waiting?
no subject
[He loves the attention, don't get him wrong. It's gratifying to know someone's worried. But he loves the burn of his injuries in ways he doesn't expect anyone to really understand. Even someone like Christian.]
Been busy... didn't get my ass kicked quite right to set the scene.
[He can quip all he likes, but he just doesn't know how to approach Christian at all. Though, in this case, he's decided the best way is by pulling him closer and pressing their lips together.]
no subject
You don't need to get hurt to visit me. Why did you come up to this floor? Just so you could tease someone while you recover?
[ He keeps his breathing controlled, trying not to let the invitation distract him. It feels like he's more in danger of that than Dodger is. ]
no subject
[Before Christian can get another response in, Dodger has pulled him into another kiss. It's almost more demanding this time, trying to end the conversation so he can forget the circumstances of being here. And as one hand grips Christian's hair lightly, the other is slipping under his shirt.]

This isn't a good idea. You're gonna make yourself pass out again.
no subject
You might've noticed we're both pretty shitty at having good ideas.
no subject
My ideas are always great. Careful, I do still need to wear this later. I don't have that many spares here.
[His fingers curl and stroke over Dodger's chest with blunt nails.]
Are you still trying to prove how good you are in bed? It looks like someone tried to beat you half to death and that's what you're worried about right now?
no subject
[He lets out a small pant of pleasure at the scratches on his chest, dragging Christian down for another kiss and twisting their tongues together for a short moment before he moves a bit too quickly, and has to lean back with a flinch of pain.]
Fuck... Look- I can do it, it's fine, I just- I need to not think, alright? [He grimaces slightly, leaning his head again against the foot board.] I need you to get me out of my head.
no subject
[Christian gives in, agreeing with Dodger's insistence as he's distracted by the kiss. His eyes close as he returns it, his tongue sliding against the warmth of the other man's as his resolve slips. When he stops, his back straightens and he pushes his hips up against Dodger's abs, only to feel the man flinch as he moves under him. He takes a deep breath, trying to bring himself back into focus.]
Do you usually kiss people you happen to drop in on? I thought you didn't even mean to come here. I'm barely a healer and you want me to help you with stress?
no subject
[He doesn't want to explain his logic, he doesn't want to think in general. As his fingers move over Christian's back, pulling him closer, his nails leave trails of burns with them, almost like a sunburn. And then they slip down to grip the rim of his pants, tugging on them lightly.]
I want you to help me onto your bed, I want you to strip, and I want to fuck you. And if you mention me being hurt one more time I'll burn a hand print on your ass.
[It's not a real threat - in fact, it's whispered affectionately as his lips press against Christian's between clumps of words.]
no subject
I guess that means you have to get up.
[Christian closes the short distance and gives Dodger another deep, demanding kiss. This time he's eager, a smile forming as he pulls back with one hand splayed across Dodger's chest. He uses that to push himself to his feet, teasingly, like he's going to keep the man on the floor.]
What did you say before? You're the best lay around?
no subject
Something like that.
[He sits up a bit, wincing at the effort but hiding it as best he can, as he reaches up for Christian to help him up. He's a little less confident in the moment, if only because his body and particularly his abdomen aches every time he moves too suddenly, but he'll say anything he needs to for the end goal of rolling around naked with this man.]
no subject
We could just lie down. I could get you more tea...
[He's pretty much lost his resolve, but at least he does try to offer an alternative. Even if his fingers slip under the waistband of Dodger's pants as he gets him to the mattress.]
How did you make that heat?
no subject
I told you I'll burn you if you start talking like that. I'm fine.
[At the question, his skin flashes warm for a second, not an uncomfortable heat but definitely warmer than someone with a fever would have. And after that second it's gone, replaced by the generally warmer body temperature he always has.]
Mutant DNA. Is that really important right now?
no subject
I know you're fine. You said that. I want you to feel good.
[Christian lets the energy he's channeling into his hand wash over Dodger's body, focusing on pleasure and a gentle warmth, like a comfortable bath that he can guide over the bruises and ease the tension Dodger always seems to have under his cool attitude. He kneels on the bed and runs his fingers over Dodger's ribs, tickling the skin with a smile.]
Maybe I'm asking because I like it. Do my questions bother you that much? I just want to get to know you a little.
no subject
I just don't wanna talk science with a shirtless man on my lap...
[His fingers twitch a bit, as he props his head up a bit to watch him. God, that is a good sight. His expression turns to one of genuine fascination as his gaze follows the smaller man's movements.]
Fuck, I could watch you for hours. [Did he say that out loud? W h o o p s.]
no subject
Is it science? It feels like magic. The way I think dragons might have felt at one point.
[He smiles lazily, one hand threading fingers through Dodger's hair to ruffle it.]
I'm sort of surprised you see me at all. I'm not used to this much attention.
no subject
[He does appreciate being compared to a dragon, though, and that gets a chuckle out of him. Dodger props himself up with some effort, pulling Christian into another kiss before sucking briefly on a choice spot of his neck.]
Little more than that, I'd say... you caught my interest. [He presses a kiss to Christian's collarbone, before submitting to his injuries and laying back to watch him.] If you want attention, I guess you'll just have to stick around me.
no subject
[The protest is quiet and said with amusement, followed by a soft hum as Dodger kisses him and leaves him distracted. He curls finger around the man's bicep as he tilts his head back, letting Dodger kiss his collarbone and neck until he finally lies back. The noise he makes is disappointed, but he wets his lips and keeps his eyes on Dodger as he lifts his hands to his own torso, running the palms down his sides. Panting, he pushes his jeans halfway down his thighs and stops there.]
I guess I'll stick around a little longer. Who else is going to clean you up?
no subject
I've got my ways... but trust me, this is much better.
[While he's still up from getting his shirt off, he presses another kiss to Christian's lips, before yanking his underwear down.]
You're gonna win a fucking medal for how slow you get your clothes off.
no subject
You're just being impatient. If you rush too much you'll wear yourself out before you get any.
[ There's a softness in the way he says it, conceding to the pressure and stripping off his jeans and underwear together. Despite getting into regular scraps, he doesn't have the map of scars that Dodger has. Spirits generally injure the soul more than the body. Christian is sporting some bruises, but none seem particularly distinct. He kicks his clothes to the floor, settling into sitting on his thigh and leaning forward to press his mouth to Dodger's chest. His tongue traces the edge of the star as Christian reaches around to stroke the curve of his bare ass. ]
It'd be nice to win something, anyway.
no subject
His fingers trace over Christian's bare skin, his chest and his stomach and along his thighs, tracing back up to his back so Dodger can pull him down and suck a mark onto his neck.]
The faster you get your lips around my cock, the less we have to worry about me wearing myself out. [He playfully ruffles Christian's hair as he lets him go, reaching down to pull his own pants and boxers off and kick them off with some effort.] Maybe afterward we can have a nice chat... I did say I'd tell you about me if you let me fuck you.
