[After their call, it doesn't take Beverly long to make her way to Thor's floor in the housing complex, only a few floors from her own. Without a personal door to knock on, she makes do with the door frame to the communal quarters.]

Hello? Mr. Odinson? It's Dr. Crusher!

[Thor lingers in the background, like a worried mother taking their child to the doctor.]

Morning and night. [Sort of.] It has been suggested that I may have been... too attentive.

[dancingmd]

[She looks up at him and smiles sympathetically.]

Maybe just a little. These particular plants are usually fine just once a day. But don't beat yourself up too much - it's a very common mistake to make when you're first getting started.

[worldsaway]

I suppose so. [Thor tries not to sound despondent, but he is feeling childish over this.]

Is there no saving them, then? [Not that he blames her, of course.]

[She stands up with a small sigh.]

I'm afraid not.

[worldsaway]

[Thor can do nothing but shake his head.]

Then I feel quite the fool. [He folds his arms over his chest, levelling a disappointed look on his plants.] Then I will need a hardier plant.

You're not a fool! Gardening just takes practice, like any other skill. And this time around, I'll be there to help you!

Of course, please ignore my dramatics. [He offers, then smiles again.] What would you suggest I start with next, doctor?

For beginners I usually suggest succulents - desert plants - but for you... it might be better to go in the other direction. Something that likes being watered more often. Like a peacock plant or an orchid.
