I. Psychic Training (June 18/The woods) [OTA]

[Ever since he discovered his telekinetic powers after that training incident with 2B, Professor Sycamore found himself in several small incidents due to his inability to control them whenever he's in a state of panic or stress. And unfortunately for his poor Garchomp, she ended up being the victim of her trainer's telekinesis two times now.

Not wanting to repeat those said incidents, he decides to use his free time to go into the woods not far away from the gates back into the Quarantine. This is not only a perfect place to train himself to control his powers but hopefully to isolate himself to prevent anyone from getting caught in a crossfire. But while he succeeded in finding an isolated training spot, it doesn't mean it's very well hidden.

If you notice him behind some of the trees, you may see him shooting some small rocks as projectiles onto a tree trunk with his telekinesis. You may try to wait until he's done with his training. However, if you make him startle by accident or on purpose, you may get pelted by some levitating stones if you're not fast enough to dodge or block them.]

II. A (Pokemon) Stalker? (June 19/Somewhere on the route to Riverview University) [First come, first serve]

[While his elective classes are usually on nighttime, Sycamore still heads over to his office in Riverview University as he still needs to research not only on Mega Evolution but also the Pokemon's habitats in the Quarantine's woods and lakes.

However, while you're just doing your own thing, you may notice a strange creature spying on the Pokemon Professor behind a tree. You can't tell what it is due to the shade blocking the view, but if you try to get closer to it, it will quickly panic and quickly runs away from you. However, it isn't even able to reach to a nearby bush to hide. Because once it tried to do so, it quickly crashed onto Sycamore, causing him to fall down to the ground as most of his bag's contents are spilled out in the process.

You still have no idea what that creature is, but it might be best to help out the poor professor before asking some questions.]

III. Teacher/Professor Meeting (June 22/Riverview University) [OTA/Also to any resident who handwaved being his nightly class students]

[ There's quite a lot of preamble before Romulus makes it to Professor Sycamore's office. It started with him hanging out in the park and near the borders of the still-safe spaces of the Quarantine for need of some alone time without being anywhere dangerous. This little fluffy thing approached him and mumbled about his food until he shared and now it was following him like a warm, adorable pet and he doesn't know the first thing about that.

It takes a few hours for someone else to notice how lost he looks with his new little friend, because he doesn't have the heart to try and shake it even if he doesn't know how to care for it, and he gets directed to the University. Easy enough. Then he has to figure out what it's called (pokémon? Strange as anything else, really) in order to ask after this professor's specific office. Eventually he makes his way there, a sleepy and cuddly teddiursa bundled up in his arms by the time he manages a rather awkward knock on the door. ]

Professor Sycamore...? Is this the right office?

[Although it's been a few months ever since his arrival with the Pokemon, he is aware that not all of the residents in the Inhabited City were still unaware of the Pokemon's existence. Not only that, he still trying to continue his Mega Evolution research despite the lack of equipment needed for it. Despite this, Sycamore keeps his heads up no matter how tough his job will be as he still wants to help them out no matter what.

So obviously after hearing those knocks, he answers it before he is greeted by a familiar face along with a brown teddy bear-like Pokemon on his arms.]

Oh, hello there, Jacob. I didn't expect you to visit me at this time. And I see you have a new friend there.

[ Seeing the man now, his memories come back in that vague sort of disconnected way that Romulus knows this man. Rather, Jacob Kane knew this man and part of the tension in his shoulders disappears when he realizes that. It helps to know when he's not dealing with complete strangers.

On the other hand, most people who deal with Romulus tend to get a bit of a shock, so perhaps he's the stranger here. ] Hello, Sir. That's right. Um... My name is Romulus right now, though. The—the effect over the city?

[Sycamore was confused about it at first until he starts to remember the news regarding what he explained to him.]

Oh right, the time distortion incident. It looks like you're also affected by it as well.

Well, since your memories might jumbled up due to it, let me reintroduce myself. I'm Augustine Sycamore, a Pokemon Professor. We already met during some of my classes beforehand.

It's my honor to meet you, Professor.

[ That gets a genuine smile, and Romulus dips his head to watch the slumbering face of this little thing that's attached itself to him. ]

Right... I have a few memories of that but nothing specific. This little one started following me and you're the one to speak to on it, so they say.

Well, it looks like you came to the right place.

[Curious at Jacob/Romulus's new friend, Sycamore slowly approaches the young Pokemon as he tries to stroke it's head very carefully.]

I can see that this Teddiursa has a slight liking to you.

[He would like to ask if he caught it, but it would be unwise for him to do so especially that his memories are cluttered due to the time distortion affecting him.]

[ Looks like the teddiursa is down for the count, just rolling in Romulus's arms and forcing him to juggle a bit to keep it from slipping out of his grasp. It makes a sleepy little noise before settling again and he tilts his head, something between exasperation and bemusement. Maybe just a touch of fondness. ]

It had some of my food and then kept following me around today. Teddiursa? I thought it was Pokémon?

[megabond]

I see. So it must be hungry and is attracted by some of your food.

[Well, it is no surprise since most of the Pokemon tend to get attracted by food easily.]

Oh, Pokemon is just a collective term for the creatures that originally lived in my world. Teddiursa is one of them and there are many different kinds other than it.

[aeturnus]

It was, and then I think it wanted to see if I would give it more... or explore with me, perhaps...

[ The tiny thing certainly had a lot of oomph to it and had tried getting in a few places where it didn't belong. All in all, it was pretty stressful but Romulus wasn't going to leave it be when it had chosen to follow him and seemed rather upset when he tried to bring it back to the forest. Eventually it had just climbed into his space and settled down. ]

So this one is a Teddiursa... What do I do for it?

Well, most Pokemon trainers usually kept them for battles, but some can keep them as pets and partners to defend themselves.

[aeturnus]

For battle?

[ That gets him to startle and he unconsciously holds the teddiursa that much closer to himself. There's no way something this small could go out and fight like dogs, could it? ]

Would it stay that long? To... be a pet. Or a partner.

[megabond]

That depends on how you see in your Pokemon. Whether if you treat them as a friend or ally, they might see you the same as well. That also includes on how well you take care of them.

Of course, if you treat them as tools, they will be scared of you. So I suggest you don't follow that route.

[He feels that Romulus might take the former route since, despite the effects on him, he knows that he won't treat that Teddiursa very poorly.]

Being treated like a tool isn't... [ He pauses, purses his lips. ] ... it's not that scary.

I'd like to be its friend more, though.

[megabond]

[Not that scary? Now that he thinks about it when he remembers about the distortion, he wonders what timeline he was regressed in.]

Well, I suggest you might get to know more about Teddiursa. In fact, I feel it's starting to like you.

[aeturnus]

[ It's his life, after all. That's not scary so much as just frustrating and normal. ]

It does? Because I fed it?

[megabond]

I think it's more than that. Try to get know more about it, learn about its likes and dislikes. You may even learn about it's past and find some similarities to yours.

[aeturnus]

How would I do that? Can't you tell me?

[ Please don't leave him alone with this. He doesn't want to mess it up... ]

Well, how you bond with Teddiursa is up to you. But since you're new, I suggest you should play and talk with them for a while. They may not speak our language, but they can understand us.

[aeturnus]

They can?

[ That's crazy talk, doc! ]

[megabond]

Yes. There are actually reports that there's an unexplained special bond between a trainer and their Pokemon, one that not only let them understand each other despite the communication barrier, but also the fact that they can able to sense where they are when they are separated.

[Heck, he already experienced it in the first place already with his Garchomp.]

[aeturnus]

Oh... [ He looks kind of sad, but trying to smile through it because that's interesting and cool. Part of him just wishes he could do that with Remus. ] They can do all that? Teddiursa is really special, isn't it?

[megabond]

Well, it's actually a rare occurrence and it does affect anyone owns the Key Stone.

But considering how you look at it, you may even call it special as long you have a strong bond with it.

[aeturnus]

The Key Stone...?

[ He pauses, purses his lips. ]

I'd like that. Does it just eat what we eat?

[megabond]

[Oh right, he didn't discuss this with Jacob beforehand.]

It's a special stone that is one of the main requirements to let your Pokemon achieve a phenomenon called a Mega Evolution.

It can eat human food along with ones made specifically for Pokemon, but they mostly eat honey and berries from my world.

[aeturnus]

Is that important?

[ Just trying to make sure he'll have everything he need to take care of this thing. It's his now, basically, it picked him. ]

Will honey and berries from here not be good?
