who: Stephen Strange and you!
what: Home repairs
when: June 13
where: The Sanctum Sanctorum! Or… what’s left of it anyways!
warnings: Stephen being an idiot.
The Library
[He was… glad to see the Sanctum, to be sure. Even if it was damaged. But he still held his breath almost instinctively as he went inside, to take stock of the damage that wasn’t visible on the outside. He knew the Empirikul gotten in, but it was a question of what they’d managed to do. Which was a hell of a lot from the looks of things. Debris had been cleared out sure, but even still the evidence of destruction was everywhere. Streaks of black from the energy of their weapons, cracked drywall and doors missing altogether where they had to brute force their way past enchanted locks. Dark wide swaths of char and ash in the living room where they’d literally burned the forest to nothing.
Anyone that came in and went beyond the barren front room would find him still there, frowning out the window, one arm braced against the wall. Behind him, Wong paced with small huffs and grumbles, as if the pup was uncertain what to do with his person in such a mood.]
Repairs
[Stephen Strange was not a carpenter. And he never counted building as one of his hobbies. But the state of the Sanctum had him pissed off enough that he didn’t want to just leave it like that. Even if all he could do was just work on sealing the place up again before he took proper stock of the damage, it was something.
Anyone coming by would find the sorcerer up on the roof, nailing down a tarp over the hole that once had been a window. Or trying to anyways. If anyone followed him up the ladder they’d hear the way he was cursing under his breath the entire time he was fighting against too-shaky hands to actually hit the damn nails.
Fuck but this was a pain in the ass.]
Wildcard
[Let me know if there’s another prompt you’d like and I’ll make it happen!]

[ A strange job for a mortal, but mortals do like to feel important. ]

[Someone's gotta do it, why not the stone-stubborn recovering asshole?]

And they just keep coming. Tragically.

[And that's not even counting the other dimensions and realities either.]

Well that almost goes without saying at this point. It also comes with the job description, sad to say.

Not even to learn how to pick up a hammer?

Never thought I'd be bemoaning my lack of carpentry skills, and yet here I am.

It'll be fine. I'll figure it out.
[Aka: Someone has issues reaching out for assistance, whoops?]

[ Actually, he has every doubt and it's quite clear. ]
But I would assume the Sanctum deserves better than the long wait.

And excuse you Loki, who said you could come up with good points? Rude.]
You're... not wrong.
[The only reason he's saying this is because he likes his weirdo hermit-house.]
Biggest thing is how much of this is specialty work. Some stuff can be done normally. Other stuff... well, it's usually picky as hell. The windows are going to be a pain, and the one up top is going to be a downright bear.

[ And Loki wants to see this wandering plane of existence restored to its former glory. Perhaps it can prove useful to him. ]

Guess I'll have to see if Gramarye knows what contractors'd be any good.
[If anyone knows where magically-inclined contractors are, it'd be that place.]

And I'm sure you'll see it through. For the sake of this beloved building.

Well yeah. And it gets me out of the dorms so I'll count that as another very enticing bonus.
[That and he doesn't want to think of what happens if the place gets it's mojo back without being properly repaired and warded, that just seems like all manner of Bad News.]

[ He has decent telekinetic powers after all. ]

I can't say it wouldn't be appreciated.
