[The most difficult thing to deal with in regards to Eichi's ambition is probably his health. He's been feeling mostly good for the past month, taking it easy, so why was it that now that he wanted to really get things done, even taking a walk was making his chest ache? Each beat of his heart was throbbing, irregular, and something as simple as taking in oxygen was painful in a way that's hard to put to words.

Despite that, he's really determined to get to where he wants to be. He could be on any of the crowded streets of the city, stumbling a little too much if anyone bumps into his shoulder. This is an issue that goes on for days— he walks, his body strains, and a coughing fit turns into something worse.

You could run into him:
A. Literally fainting on you, sorry
B. Coughing up blood as he supports himself against the wall of some building
C. Looking paler than ever and asking for directions
D. He's not watching where he's going and runs into someone

He's a mess. Hopefully he doesn't get sick on anyone.]

(OOC: I just thought I'd throw up an open post too for anyone who wants new CR and didn't plot with me! If you can't work with this prompt, just hit me up and I'll write us something closed that works better.)

[ It's incredible how Eichi can do that, shut himself down and become some sort of glittering, cold statue of stone. It's surprising just enough that Gladio feels a flutter of nervousness. Is he trying to intimidate him?

Gladio's stare hardens in return. ]

I don't hear any whistling yet, do you?

[As if on cue, the teapot begins to whistle, and Eichi answers Gladio's question with a smug smile. It's this smile that's worse than the cold staring, probably. His eyes always say what they're really feeling, and it looks like he'd love to knock Gladio to the ground.

But words are his weapon of choice, and there's not much he can do but be petty like this, thanks to knowing the length of time it takes to boil tea.]

[ And right on cue, Gladio's expression sours. Dammit, Eichi and your impressive knowledge of leaf-water tea making! ]

Tch.

[ Gladio has no rebuttal, no words to throw back at that smug face. But he's sick, or exhausted, so he gets a pass. He'll just make sure to tease him ruthlessly so he doesn't push himself again.

But in the meantime? He turns around and marches into the kitchen to make some goddamn tea. ]

[That's right, he's on top here. Eichi watches as Gladio leaves to take care of that, and for as much as he wants to sneak out and disobey... He knows that would cause more trouble than it's worth. He's not that level of rebellious.

Instead, he's going to stay right here, smiling through his illness, and wait for tea to be served. He'll just get back by making use of Gladio as a convenient tea maker right now.]
