[Even if he's not toting the same skull-faced mask he had been up until recently--it doesn't mean that his manner has changed all that much. At least, not on first glance of the man. He seems to have a heavy brow and a serious case of resting bitch face. It doesn't help that his face is scarred in multiple places, and he looks like he belongs on a football field or in a boxing ring, and not walking around Riverview Quarantine like an aimless nomad.
It seems too late by the time you make eyecontact with the man, as he seems to lock his gaze onto yours with the intent to speak.]

[Surprisingly, his voice isn't nearly half as gruff as you might remember(or expect, if you haven't heard him over the network before) as he brandishes a piece of paper at you. On it, there's a roughly hen-scratched list of items.]
I'm looking for a few things. You'd think that I'd have gone looking for them in the two months I've been here, but I guess I've been a lazy asshole. Don't know the shops around here too well. Mind pointing me in the right direction?

[It might not be wise to give her free reign in a store because the moment he gives the okay, she practically tosses the carrots in the cart and zooms right back over to the organic veggies. To her credit, she does take care to not grab more than necessary, but she wants him to have enough if his roommates start picking at it too.
After she grabs a few bags of various fruits and greens, she points towards one of the aisles.]
Alright, follow me. Stay close and we'll make it to the next aisle in one piece. I'll protect our cart from our front, you just watch the back.

[That's all he can figure. He hasn't had to fix his guns lately from overuse--and his supply of bullets hadn't run clean enough to need to spend a small fortune on restocking them. It was... odd, to say the least, but...
He follows along behind her, quietly counting up everything she was picking out. Shopping was admittedly something he didn't enjoy, so not only having someone to point him along the way, but someone to do the shopping FOR him?
He'd find a way to thank her later. (How he survived this long without Ana is anyone's guess.)]
Hey, if there's one thing I'm good at, it's watching peoples' backs. I'm the best backup you'll have.

[The way things are going, he'll be set until the next alternate universe event. Maybe he can even open up a shop inside his apartment. The clearance bins are hard to resist, especially when they put them right in the middle of the store, directly before the aisle she wants to go down. It's like those merchandisers know what they're doing.
Last chance. Final sale. Limited item. Gabriel can use cilantro, right? It's only pennies. Maybe cinnamon sticks too. Those are really cheap! She digs further down, learning over the edge to see what's at the bottom and boy, she's not disappointed. Without pulling it out, she laughs.]
