[Welcome to Bryn's apartment. The door is unlocked, and personal belongings can be tossed up onto the bed just at the top of the stairs. The party's theme is apparent at once. As mentioned on the network post, gold and glitz is strongly encouraged (though no one will be turned away for lacking either) in clothing, jewelry, accessories, or however creatively someone would like to incorporate it. Those interested in participating but lacking anything gold or glitzy will find gold glitter body gel to spread on their skin, compliments of the hostess. There's a bar cart by the front door with a sign that reads WELCOME in gold script. It's laden with short shot glasses filled with what looks like liquid gold. When imbibed, however, it tastes like a faintly peach-flavored vodka. The rest of the alcohol and mixers can be found in the kitchen. Clear plastic cups feature labels that can be written on in gold permanent marker, then filled with any number of beverages. Really, there's no real rhyme or reason to what's available, as guests have been encouraged to bring whatever they like and add it to the kitchen island. For those who don't drink alcohol, there's a sign on the fridge indicating that non-alcoholic drinks and mixers are kept within. Anyone looking to fill their stomach a little between drinks will find platters of finger foods available throughout the apartment. Gold macarons, cheese and crackers, sliced fruit and vegetables are plentiful, but guests who are quick enough may find they can grab some of the thinly sliced beef arranged around a bowl of spicy dipping sauce. Of note, there is also a plate of gold fortune cookies for guests. While it's noted there's only enough for one per person, the fortunes feature not only a fortune but a party challenge. Dance with a stranger? Eat nothing that isn't fed to you? Try your hand at inventing a new drink? Why not try it and see what happens? Play a game of party jenga for that matter. Beyond all this, anyone attending is encouraged to mingle and enjoy themselves. There's ample seating throughout the apartment for people to sit back and enjoy their food and drinks, including a plush rug in one corner covered in floor cushions and pillows around a hookah with a variety of flavors of tobacco. For those who are more inclined to activity there's space enough to dance to the music that booms throughout the apartment. With the windows open the space stays well aired out and comfortable, inviting any who attend to linger as long as they like. By the looks of things the hostess has no intention of kicking anyone out no matter how late it gets...]

_{[ Something about this guy seems really powerful, but Karamatsu cannot put his finger on it because he's really terrible at reading the atmosphere. Still, he's at ease knowing he made him laugh. ]}

_{[ He strokes his chin, as if he was really pondering about his answer. No, he doesn't know her-- he's honestly a little nervous to talk to her, but he can't let people know that. ]}

Ah, yes. I will captivate her heart-- she cannot walk away from the friendship that I offer.

Pre-destined. [He repeats, and he makes the connection that Karamatsu is not yet friends with her, but intends to be.

But he continues and Thor furrows his brows. He clearly means for something more than friendship, and Thor wonders if he's met a rival for Bryn's affections.

Although admittedly, he doesn't think he has too much to worry about. So, once again, Thor chuckles.]

May good fortunes be with you. [He raises his drink to Karamatsu.] I've not met you before, tell me your name.

_{[ Thor has nothing to worry about, you're fine, dude. Though, Thor is doing something he doesn't think has ever happened to him before outside of his family-- lifting a glass and wishing him luck. He'll need it, he's cursed with terrible luck.
Thor talks fancy, Karamatsu talks fancy-- this will work out just fine. He splays his hand over his chest, seeming pleased at the idea of introducing himself. ]}

Matsuno Karamatsu-- I'm the second oldest from the Matsuno sextuplets. I believe in giving people dreams, bettering myself, and creating world peace.

[As a fellow smug person, Thor can sense the self-satisfaction just radiating off Karamatsu. He isn't deterred by it, however, he's more amused than anything.

He quirks a brow, but to his credit, he doesn't laugh. He is initially interested in the term sextuplets, but he takes this one step at a time.]

Admirable goals indeed. You're part of the perimeter guard, then? To protect the peace?

_{[ Yes, take it one step at a time, Thor. Too many steps at a time might be dangerous. When he is asked about his occupation, well-- Thor makes a point. For somebody talking to big of protection and goodness, he certainly isn't putting in his best practice. ]}

Well, you see, with that.. I have a different kind of duty here.
_{[ Can you tell he's nervous? Cause he's a bit nervous, not really making direct eye contact with Thor. ]}

I am.. protecting the peace in my own sort of way.

[It's just about the answer Thor expected, but he was prepared to be surprised. He doesn't bitterly judge Karamatsu, of course. He simply finds him amusing, and he's happy to stir the pot a little.]

A different duty? [Thor raises a brow.] Protecting the peace is a cause of mine, also. I would be interested to hear of your.. contributions.

Ah, of course... my important duty is to protect the peace by--
_{[ He hikes up his pants, pausing dramatically, looking away-- ]}

..providing entertainment.
_{[ Karamatsu, this makes no sense. ]}

A gift, a fallen angel like me has been given that I will use for good.

Peace through entertainment? [Thor looks immensely curious, going so far as to cock his head to the side.]

Are you a poet, then? You do have a way with words, I must say.
