[Welcome to Bryn's apartment. The door is unlocked, and personal belongings can be tossed up onto the bed just at the top of the stairs. The party's theme is apparent at once. As mentioned on the network post, gold and glitz is strongly encouraged (though no one will be turned away for lacking either) in clothing, jewelry, accessories, or however creatively someone would like to incorporate it. Those interested in participating but lacking anything gold or glitzy will find gold glitter body gel to spread on their skin, compliments of the hostess. There's a bar cart by the front door with a sign that reads WELCOME in gold script. It's laden with short shot glasses filled with what looks like liquid gold. When imbibed, however, it tastes like a faintly peach-flavored vodka. The rest of the alcohol and mixers can be found in the kitchen. Clear plastic cups feature labels that can be written on in gold permanent marker, then filled with any number of beverages. Really, there's no real rhyme or reason to what's available, as guests have been encouraged to bring whatever they like and add it to the kitchen island. For those who don't drink alcohol, there's a sign on the fridge indicating that non-alcoholic drinks and mixers are kept within. Anyone looking to fill their stomach a little between drinks will find platters of finger foods available throughout the apartment. Gold macarons, cheese and crackers, sliced fruit and vegetables are plentiful, but guests who are quick enough may find they can grab some of the thinly sliced beef arranged around a bowl of spicy dipping sauce. Of note, there is also a plate of gold fortune cookies for guests. While it's noted there's only enough for one per person, the fortunes feature not only a fortune but a party challenge. Dance with a stranger? Eat nothing that isn't fed to you? Try your hand at inventing a new drink? Why not try it and see what happens? Play a game of party jenga for that matter. Beyond all this, anyone attending is encouraged to mingle and enjoy themselves. There's ample seating throughout the apartment for people to sit back and enjoy their food and drinks, including a plush rug in one corner covered in floor cushions and pillows around a hookah with a variety of flavors of tobacco. For those who are more inclined to activity there's space enough to dance to the music that booms throughout the apartment. With the windows open the space stays well aired out and comfortable, inviting any who attend to linger as long as they like. By the looks of things the hostess has no intention of kicking anyone out no matter how late it gets...]

Oh gods, how are you gonna live with yourself after not going to the gym?

[He's absolutely teasing, and when moves back, Taako takes the opportunity to turn around and steal a quick kiss.]

I nearly said no 'cause I've totally got this under control, but no one in their right mind turns down waffles and french toast.

[Eddie chuckles, his mouth against the underside of one of Taako's earlobes, eyes half-closed, breath stirring Taako's hair.]

You say that like you don't love the results of me going to the gym.

[This is nice. Way nicer than it has any right to be, but Eddie's always had a bit of a weak spot for the domestic, for doing day to day life things together. Settling in at the counter beside Taako, Eddie starts getting together some ingredients for waffles and french toast, casually working on them while Taako continues.]

See, I knew if I wanted to get in on this, I'd have to bring something new to the table. Also, maybe I just wanted some french toast...

[A shrug, and he glances over at Taako.]

So, how was your night?

You know what, I'll own up to that.

[He doesn't have particularly strong feelings about muscles one way or another, but he a) appreciates the fact that Eddie manages to rock a post-workout look and b) sees literally no downsides to fooling around with someone who's fit.

What Eddie says about bringing something new to the table gets a little laugh, and expression that clearly says fair point. It was a smart move and Taako will accept that he's been so valiantly manipulated in Eddie's attempt to get french toast.]

And you know how my night was. [;)

Except he knows that isn't what Eddie meant.] I had a pretty rocking time, Bryn knows how to throw a party and most of the company was great.

[He's not going to directly bring up his little run in with Dodger, mostly because he'd rather focus on nicer things.]

[Eddie laughs softly, cracking an egg into a bowl, whisking, almost idly, not really paying attention because he's done this so often before. It reminds him of hundreds of mornings with Iris in the kitchen, or in the kitchen prepping a breakfast to bring her in bed. Warm, comforting memories, but also a little painful - he allows himself to dwell on them for a few moments and then he lets go of them, taking a breath and looking over at Taako.

When the elf says he knows how his night was, he snorts, and goes bright red, shaking his head.]

Oh come on. I meant before we went to bed. I mean. I definitely know you had a great time after we did...

[But then Taako is going on and explaining that Bryn really knows how to throw a party.]

Yeah, it was mostly pretty good. Besides Dodger, there wasn't anyone too annoying, right?

[He decides to count getting Eddie to blush as a win, in whatever competition he's apparently holding with himself, and flashes a smug grin in his direction.]

Everyone else was fucking lovely, not a whole lotta people I didn't already know, but that's cool too.

[He likes hanging out with friends.]

I feel like we could wrap this soon?

[Eddie grins to himself because, yeah, Taako got him to blush, but it was good. It's the fun kind of blush. This whole situation is pretty fun, honestly.]

Yeah. I didn't know as many people as you, and I'm not so great at making friends, but...it wasn't bad. I liked it.

Making friends is easy, you just have to not give a shit what anyone thinks.

[His tone is wry, acknowledging the fact that something like that doesn't exactly come easy for other people, the way it does for him. It especially doesn't come easy for Eddie, he's noticed.]
