who: Minsu and Sage
what: moving in together and other shenanigans
when: early July
where: the Lux
warnings: tbd
[in theory, this shouldn't feel like such a big deal. they've lived together before, in another life before this moon, where the witch had a few more scars and the fox had a few less. they were a fairytale for strange and broken children, two monsters who lived in a house in the swamp instead of a castle at the edge of an enchanted forest.
it shouldn't feel like such a big deal, because minsu's already spending more nights in sage's bed than in his own back at communal housing. most of those nights are still pg-13, where they crawl in bed together to actually -sleep-, but never without a fair amount of kissing and wrapping around each other and whispering across the pillow. minsu is no stranger to sage's bed, or his shower, or the herbs and bones hanging about. if he had to describe his "home", this would already be it, though mostly because it's where sage is.
maybe that's why minsu hadn't so much as hinted at moving in with him, hadn't really given it too much thought when they still have other typical relationship bridges to cross. minsu's looking forward to it all, like it's brand new, because that life they had before is a different story, and he wants to write a new one with sage here.
you should move in with me. officially.
he also really wants to be where sage is. so he takes the rest of the day off to go and get his stuff. minsu doesn't have many possessions, mostly just a stuffed frog that he won at one of the festivals and a lot of snacks that he hasn't gotten around to eating yet. all that minsu owns fits in the backpack on his shoulders and the box in his hands. his heart is pounding as he stares at the door of sage's apartment, which is about to become their apartment. their home.
...maybe sage won't open the door while he's kneeling down to kiss the threshold, but to be honest he's probably caught his boyfriend doing stranger things.]

somewhere in the last few months, Minsu had wriggled his way between Sage's ribs in a way that the witch never thought possible. even with everything that he had been told, this-- fuck, Sage really didn't think that he was worthy of this.
of Minsu.
so when he told Minsu to move in with him, he meant it even if he hadn't thought about it before that moment. he wanted the other to be around more often, wanted slow mornings and languid nights, wanted to be able to steal his shirts and roll over and smell Minsu on his pillow.
it was disgustingly soft but also-- Sage didn't care. he adored his boyfriend and honestly looked forward to everythinng.
including Minsu being strange. like he is right now.
as soon as the spell outside his door let him know that Minsu was there, the witch curled his wrist and opened the door, only to be met with Mins on his knees and... kissing the floor?
okay sorry, giggling a bit right now. wow. he is so fond of you.]
Mmm, shouldn't I be getting those kisses? Or am I supposed to carry you across the threshold.
[ wait, no, that was marriage. shit. turning bright red now. fuck. ]

All the rest of mine are yours.
[minsu crosses over to the witch, leans down to start to kiss him and then back again to scrub his lips against his forearm. he was just kissing the floor, after all. but then he kisses him slow and sweet, his box hitting the floor so minsu can cup his face and really do it properly.
he sighs as he leans back again, a soft and contented sound. minsu opens his eyes slowly, like someone waking from a dream. his touch against sage's face, warm and solid and real, makes it a lot less scary.]
That's how we're going to start and end every day. Are you ready for that?
[translation: are you ready to be loved by someone so completely.]

the laughter that spills from his lips as Minsu wipes at his face comes out a little breathless and he means to make a comment, but it's so hard because then he is being kissed like it matters, like he matters and wow.
wow.
Sage sways a little, blinking up at Minsu and he is so sure that there are literal stars in his eyes right now with how he looks at the fox. it takes a heartbeat to realize that he is being spoken to, that Minsu is asking a question that he should answer.]
Am I--? [ a slight furrow of his brow, he is aware there is more here, that he will look back and realize he missed something in this exchange but he is sure it will not change his answer. which is him smiling and leaning in, pressing his lips to Minsu's in a kiss that is so very chaste in comparison, but answer enough.]
I can't wait.
[ his gaze flickers to the box and the frown deepens.]
Is that all?
[ not that it is a bad thing but-- Minsu might notice if Sage steals all his shirts now.... ]

[it comes out a little breathless, because sage is not the only one to feel the effects of this between them. even a chaste kiss is enough to direct all of his energy, all of minsu in one direction: sage's.]
Ah, it's everything I need right now.
[minsu can pick up more along the way if he needs to, but he thought it best to start small. sage picked this place out most likely never expecting to share it with anyone. minsu doesn't want to take up all his room. he slips his backpack off, which is full of the basics mainly - underwear, socks, toothbrush, a few well-worn and soft t-shirts that he sleeps in.
three of them. you can get away with it, sage.]
I think I want to learn how to cook. Take out food is delicious, but it's not very healthy.
[it's not his health that he's worried about.]

Minsu defies all expectations. has since the very beginning.]
Mm, okay. If you say so. [ another brief kiss before the witch finally removes himself from Minsu's space, eyebrow raised as he goes to grab the box and put it on the table in the middle of the living space.
he knows that food is important to Minsu, so cooking really isn't that far of a leap. that Minsu wants to learn to cook to feed him isn't exactly something that he thinks about. that seems so-- domestic? caring? and while Sage is easing into this better than he thought, he still doesn't think like that.
at least about himself. ]
Maybe we can learn together, it's got to be kinda like potion making, yeah? I can learn how to make that barbeque stuff you love so much.
[ again, because he knows food is important to the other. and he wants to know how to make Minsu happy. ]

a body harness. look, clubbing is fun and he likes to dress up for sage. minsu pauses his task to look up at him.]
Together?
[jesus don't give him images of matching his and his aprons, of laughter obscured by flour clouds and sage pointing out the sauce on the corner of minsu's mouth before leaning in to kiss it away. and it probably wouldn't be much different from making potions. a little bit of basil instead of a little bit of hemlock, a bone with meat in instead of just a bone.
he's on fire here.]
If you learn to make the barbecue stuff I'll never leave the house again.
[not an idea that he actually minds.]

Mmhmm, yeah together. [ pause ] Uh, unless you want to learn on your own? I mean, I don't-- I mean, I want to learn with you, but I won't begrudge you wanting to learn something on your own like that.
[ look at that, he worded. like an adult! be proud of him. even if he is pouting the tiniest bit. he is pretty sure that Minsu doesn't want them to not learn together but-- just in case. he has ideas fairly similar to Minsu, perhaps not the exact same but he still thinks about being able to work with the fox in the space of the kitchen, move around him and create something that was equal parts of them both. then enjoy it. in their home.]
I don't see anything wrong with that, though you might go a littler stir crazy...

[the rest of his stuff is forgotten, left in the bottom of the box so that he can come closer to where sage is. the fox loops his arms around skinny hips to bring him closer. it's so domestic, like a scene from a drama, that for a moment minsu feels like he might burst into the most ridiculous of giggles.
which he's never seen any handsome drama lead actually do.]
Everything is better with you.
[he hasn't forgotten his loneliness, the days and weeks without sage when all he could do was miss and hope to see the witch again. he'll never forget that. so he works on kissing the pout away, and then kissing him again to prove his own words...everything is better together. when the kiss breaks, sage's words only make him want to kiss some more.]
I bet I'd find ways of keeping myself occupied.
[with sage's help, of course. he remembers hours, half the day and all of the night when they never left their bedroom. and he doesn't remember either of them ever complaining of boredom.
he's thinking about a few of those nights right now, a flush of color creeping up his neck, eyes a little darker as he looks at sage. minsu blinks a couple of times before spotting one of sage's spritzer bottles for his herbs.
he picks it up and sprays himself. someone had to do it.]
