I don't think he's had many boundaries put in place, either by his parents or anyone else. Billy does as Billy will.
[ Loki would know something about forcing himself to contain angry urges that hurt other people. He nods, acknowledging that he knows Billy wasn't trying to scare him with that show of power, but ... ]
It felt like the equivalent of being dragged back into the room by my hair, if hair were magic.
Tell me about it... He single-handedly invaded Latveria despite every warning not to. He's stubborn and stupid sometimes.
[It's just usually Billy's bad decisions don't involve dragging people back or hurting them... well, usually. There were the comas and the wishing death, but those were extremely tense situations.]
I'm sorry... I was shocked he did it too, honestly.
[ Loki will forgive him eventually, just not any time soon. It was too close to being dragged around to face his crimes in Asgardia, a feeling he never wants to relive.
He slumps sideways against Teddy. After a moment, he sighs as though having debated a heavy decision. ]
[When Loki slumps against him, he reaches up to brush his fingers through his hair lightly, carefully. It's a gesture Billy always finds soothing, and hopefully Loki does too.
He gives a wry smile at that.]
Are you sure, Loki? You haven't seemed that happy with it... and I don't want you to be miserable.
Aye. [ Defeated by tiredness and worn down from stress, he wants anything but to feel this way. Lonesome and empty. ] I suspect you and I will need a break sometimes, we can tag-team.
[ With a canny look sideways, as he tilts his head back into the stroking hand in his hair. ]
Okay... okay. Tag-teaming might actually be a good idea sometimes. We'll talk to Billy sometime, okay? Or-- you can talk to him first. I don't know how to approach this kind of stuff.
[He gives a short smile when Loki tilts back like that, keeping up the slow motions since they seem welcomed.]
Feeling a little better? [Now that he's had a chance to talk to someone, come to some sort of decision by the looks of it.]
A little, thank you. [ His free hand pats Teddy on the leg. ] But I can't ... be with him right now, everything has been too much. Can you take him for a while? Stop him from his depressive downward spirals.
[ Loki will exist outside the box of "boyfriend" for a few days or weeks. ]
Good. [He means that. Everything's just been-- bad lately. They all deserve a little bit of a break, he thinks.] I'll get in touch with him, sure. I'll make sure he's not on any windowsills or running off to the jungle at least.
[Well, when he can... stubborn.]
Take time. Take care of yourself... Billy will understand, as long as he knows you'll venture back around eventually.
I understand. You have to take care of yourself sometimes.
[Teddy really doesn't mind, honestly. Loki fits nicely at his side, and Teddy's kind of... missed having someone pressed close to him, tucked under an arm.]
Just as long as you understand I'm not trying to take your place or whatever... we'll both have our own place, and if issues come up-- we'll figure them out together, okay? I know-- none of us seem to do the talking thing overly well, but... it's worth the effort, right?
[ Usually one for being the chattiest in the room, Loki slumps against Teddy gloomily and falls mostly silent. It isn't until a few scenes later that he asks, without taking his eyes off the TV, ]
[Teddy is okay with quiet. It's better than the yelling they've mostly been doing-- and honestly, he's still not feeling quite right either. At the question though, he gives a nod he doubts Loki will even see.]
Yeah... I will be. I'm already feeling a bit better, I think... mostly for you stopping by, so thanks.

Maybe he should be angry. Maybe he shouldn't be offering comfort, but--
It feels better to be doing that than taking shots when someone is already down.]
I know... I know.
[The fact that Loki had been scared had been-- pretty clear.]
He made a really bad move, Loki, but-- I think it was less malicious and more because he was that afraid of losing you.

[ Teddy is now cemented to Loki's side for the duration of the movie that is being watched but not really taken in. ]
I can't keep the two of you apart, you all but raised me. That would be a shitty thing to do on a whole other level.
