Housewarming for Remy
His desire to move, nor the place he chose, didn't surprise Rogue in the least. And like any good woman worth her salt, she'd threatened bodily harm upon him had he tried to lift a single box or piece of furniture during the process, one of the perks of dating a woman with super strength and flight.
"For them," she explained shaking a large container of catnip while stepping through the front door, raising a bottle of good bourbon in her other hand with a widening grin. "For us."
Her hair was up in a wild bun, curls escaping and falling into her face per usual, and she wore a sleek and comfortable green dress and long, black gloves for the occasion. She has a bag slung over her shoulder as well, no doubt hiding a few more treats or housewarming gifts.
Dancing legs for Ivar
In particular, she wanted to share with him a little spot with proper southern cooking (that wasn't her own) and had amazing beignets to boot. With the weather as beautiful as it'd been, Rogue offered to pick him up and 'accompany' him to the cafe, not divulging to the Viking that she'd showing up in her motorcycle, a perk of working at a mechanic's shop.
So, he'd likely hear her rumbling approach before getting an eyeful of her wearing a pair of hip (and everything) hugging jeans, a green tank top, as well as tan a tan bomber jacket with matching riding boots. She's not wearing a helmet, her hair wild and wind tossed even up in a messy bun, but she certainly has one for his relatively squishy human skull.

Ivar was sitting outside when he saw Rogue pull up, looking something like a modern-day Valkyrie as she roared in on her motorcycle. Ivar's never ridden one before for the same reason he doesn't ride horses: his legs are too weak to have the proper grip strength to hold on. Well, he's got the leg braces Tony made for him, so now a whole new world has opened up to him.
There's a grin on his face as he gets up to meet her. The braces make it easy for him to walk unaided as long as he doesn't try to go too fast. "You didn't tell me we'd be riding around in style," he says, admiring the machine with a long glance.

"Looks like you're the one ridin' in style sugah. That's Stark tech." Rogue drawls as she takes the time to admire his braces, playing it up as though she's checking him out as well. No harm, no foul right? When she's done, the mutant motions that she wants a proper hug from him, careful to avoid brushing her skin against his in the process. "You look good. How they feel? Can you fly with me now?"
As if it were possible, she appears even more excited at the prospect of 'teaching' the Viking how to fly. That, and she might just be reorganizing their plans for the evening to include this happy discovery. Hope they're dancing legs Ivar.

He gives her a firm hug, not bothering to pull back on his strength for once. Rogue was one person even stronger than him. "Fly? No thanks. I keep my feet on the ground." Flying was too much like being in a boat over the water. He was, truth be told, a little bit afraid of the idea. Being in animal form was one thing. Creatures like birds and the habbit had their instincts to help guide him. But being on his own, nope, not gonna happen.

He probably shouldn't have mentioned his unwillingness to fly, her expression taking on a more devious note. "Is that so?" With his firm grip on her along with her own protective embrace, the mutant gently flies into the air, which is to say they're simply now hovering a whole three feet above the ground. There's not a chance she's going to drop him, not when she could carry him with the strength of a single finger. "Ah got you," she murmurs reassuringly as she shifted her feet just under his, so that he's actually standing on them just as much as she's holding him up.
Don't mind her humming a 'A Whole New World' ever so softly under her breath.

He holds onto Rogue very tightly when they lift into the air. It's a reminder of back when he was a child and had to be carried everywhere. That hadn't lasted too long. Ivar had always been fiercely independent even as a child. But he wasn't kidding about wanting to keep his feet on the ground. Still, he can handle just a few feet off the ground. "Alright, you got me off the ground. Is this where your master plan ends?"

But, she has no desire to dwell on the negative, only to express her opinion of the Tony she knew. The comas are also fresh in her mind, both her own and Remy's.
Flying always brought joy to Rogue, similar to riding motorcycles, the wind whipping through her hair and that feeling of utter freedom. Even floating there with Ivar she feels peace, but she also can feel his uneasiness and slowly brings them back to the ground, his feet touching first as she lingers in the air. "Mn, nope." Her hands smoothed up to his shoulders, working into his muscles for a couple moments as she had when they first met. In the end, her gloved hands move the shaven sides of his head so she can press a kiss to the top of his hair. Only then does she settle her own feet back to earth, a smug grin tugging at her lips. "Better?"

He groans happily when her hands are first in the muscles of his shoulder and then move onto his hair. Ivar has a great weakness that few know about when it comes to someone playing with his hair. It just felt so nice. "Yes, much better." She could just keep doing that all day and he'd be content. One of his hands goes up, careful to avoid the skin of her face, as he traces the streak of white in her hair.

"Me too sugah." She murmurs gently. In the time she's spent with Ivar thus far, Rogue understands him to struggle with expressing emotions, so his words mean all the more to the mutant. "Ah'm glad ah met you that night." And she means it, wanting him to know that she values him in her life here. "You're chosen family and ah'd be upset if somethin' terrible happened to you."
She's got his back, but she doesn't want to overwhelm him by telling him too many points of truth, even if she feels he needs to hear them. Even as her feet return to the ground, Rogue continues to keep contact with him, returning to work on his shoulders once more, but her fingers slow to a relaxed halt as he fingers along her bangs. "Good. Wouldn't want to have ruined it all before the day ah got planned even started. You hungry?"
no subject
"I feel the same way about you." Not that he thought Rogue couldn't handle herself. She was definitely one of the strongest women he'd ever met. "You would make a good shieldmaiden." A compliment of the highest degree from a Viking.
He smiles at the mention of getting something to eat, completely in a calm and relaxed state now. "Food would be wonderful, yes."
no subject
"You've done nothin' to earn otherwise," she reaffirms that this isn't just her taking pity on him or anything manipulative and self-serving. His return of affection as well as the high level compliment quirk a wide, fond smile over her features as she tugs him into a careful hug, hand going to the back of his head to pull him close. "You know that means we need to have a good spar finally, if you consider me shield maiden caliber."
She separates slowly and with care before motioning to the bike. "Fly, ride, or walk?"
no subject
His eyes glint at the idea of sparring with her. "Most definitely. I'm sure I can surprise you a little with what I can do in combat." He was a decent fighter even when he'd been in clunky braces from 818. In his new state-of-the-art ones, he would be nearly unstoppable.
"Let's ride." He's never been on a motorcycle before, but it looks like it'll be fun. Maybe a little like riding the chariot he's so very fond of tearing around the city in on occasion.
