It's a party, ya'll
who: Everyone's invited!
what: That potluck he mentioned
when: Saturday afternoon
where: The park
warnings: None so far!
[True to form, Remy pulled out all the stops for this particular potluck. He has it on good authority that Rogue's bringing cornbread, but he's got what seems to be a wireless two-burner setup that he's brought along to the park, one of which is dominated by a very large pot of fragrant and spicy gumbo, and the other by a very large pot of cooked white rice, on warm. There's a small table with plastic-seeming (but totally biodegradable) bowls and utensils, two large coolers (because people might be bringing drinks), two big folding tables (for all the things that might be brought) and a big expanse of the park to cop a squat in and have some good grub, place some outdoors-y things, and have some fun! The park as a grill too, if someone wants to fire it up!]
(OOC: Feel free to post your own starters and have a ball! This is meant to be fun, after all. If you want Remy specifically, let me know! He'll be wandering around.)

"What do you say? I think I get more out of it because I really suck at cooking but it might be fun." Her grin widened. "If we catch something on fire, well that's fun too."
She's a fan of interesting situations and activities.

On the other hand, perhaps if she had supervision.
Then she caught what she said afterwards and frowned. "Fire in the kitchen is nothing to laugh at. If you were to get scared and panic, both of us could trip and fall and the fire would get even worse."
Her brother was already sulking from the attack and her father would never not worry about her; neither would feel any better if a fire started in the homestead.

"My point is, that it'll be fine. I'll look out for you and maybe we can come up with ways for you to be able to cook on your own too. Like a device to put on your fingertips that helps you tell the oven's temperature or something."
She was just throwing out ideas, plausible or not.

On the other hand, she did miss cooking, proper cooking. She knew she could only do it with supervision, but at this point it was better than nothing. She told her such, adding. "But you would know if such devices exist or not."

That and Freya assumed she'd get to eat most of the things they cooked which was well worth the effort. Food was always worth the effort.

"Alright, lets do it." She moved her fork around her plate, realizing she'd eaten most of it already. "What is your name?"
Of all their talking, Gyda realized they've yet to exchange names.

Introductions didn't feel as important as talking and getting to know someone. Plus, Freya already had Gyda's scent which was all she needed if she wanted find the girl again.

She wondered if the woman knew of the rest of her family.

"It's nice to meet you Today."

She also debated on getting something to drink. Unfortunately, between handling her plate and navigating with the cane made such multi tasking difficult.

"It's kind of nice. I make my own hours and it makes it feel like I'm not so locked up in the city." Which she hated.
"What about you?"
Freya would be happy to help Gyda, as she would anyone who wasn't blind and didn't have enough hands to get themselves a drink but she didn't do things unless she was asked.
