she wants to keep kissing him, she really wants to, eyes darting to his almost pout and daydreaming about kissing it until he smiles again, but. jyn is private and literally anyone could walk in on them. ]

[he seems satisfied by that offer, brightening and suddenly wishing they were home already. when she pokes at him, he releases her pants to capture her fingers instead.]

It's fine, and I do mean that. [he finally sits up - without a hitch tyvm - and smiles at her again, but it's very soft and quiet. he knows they're in public, he really should tone it down a notch, so he's fine with just sitting beside her until they move along home.] No back pain, just some bruises everywhere else.

[ her fingers curl around his, hidden between them and out of sight so it's fine. ]

I warned you. [ she said she was going to kick his ass and that she wasn't ever going to take it easy on him, he should know better by now. ] We can grab some ice on the way home.

[oh! she took his hand in return! his face brightens again, between the tiny touch and the thrill of the match, cassian just looks... happy. it takes so many wrinkles and even some years off his face.]

It's nothing I do not come to expect in this. [he gets to practice and test his limit and have fun, it's great all around.] Do you want to pick up some food too?

[ she loves the kind of smile that makes him look his age for once and she might just look at him, own expression soft and affectionate for a moment before he reminds her of food. ]

Yeah, sure. Come on.

[ she lets go of his hand in order to push herself to her feet, reaching down to heave him up after her and maybe her hand stays in his, it's fine. ]

You're buying.

[he gladly accepts her helping him to his feet, because it means he gets to hold her hand again. when she doesn't even let go, cassian practically buzzes with how nice it makes him feel.]

[he briefly squeezes her fingers.] I suppose it's only fair.

[he tugs her along out of the facility, stopping only to get some ice and take out as suggested; there's a whole lot more consoling to be had at home! :) ]
