(Lucretia has always fought better in pairs than alone.
Its to do with her defensive capabilities; she's extraordinarily good at buff magic, at covering those with more destructive power, keeping them safe as they dive in head first. She can at least hold her own when she needs to but it's trickier. It isn't as fun, either! She likes being in a team.
Regardless, she's grouping creatures together with lightning spells and the odd fireball, trying to keep an eye out for other fighters or innocents about to be caught in the line of fire, anybody who needs a hand or a quick shield. Her elemental magic isn't at the same level as her abjuration work; eventually she falls back, starts to conserve her higher level spell slots.
Anybody who has just found themselves in a sticky situation or just looks like they need an extra hand will suddenly find a neat shield of faith being cast about them.)

I'm sorry. It's not your fault, and you've never put pressure on me; it's just been on my mind a lot lately.

(She takes her hands back, runs them over the top of her head: a nervous gesture. She's really put her foot in something that should have been a lovely moment, huh.) Are you frustrated with me?
no subject
(She scoots closer and wraps an arm around Lucretia's shoulders to pull her in.)
Why would I be frustrated with you? We chose this, we knew what we were getting ourselves into, and I don't regret it, I promise. I can't even be mad with this place any more, because it brought me to you.

I was thinking more in terms of my– uh, 'romantic' acceptance of your offer. But thank you.
(She kisses Beverly's cheek, and rests her forehead briefly against her temple.) I feel the same way. I don't know what I would have done without you.

Starved, if those noodles are any indication.
no subject
(Rude, but true?? She gives Beverly an admonishing tickle anyway.)
no subject
(She swats away her hand with a laugh then reaches over for her sticky bowl of pasta.)
Look! I'm eating it!
no subject
(She scoops the bowl out of Beverly's hand with mage hand, manoeuvring it back into the kitchen and onto the counter.) At least heat it so it un-sticks a bit before you try.

You're always looking out for me!

I'm so excited to move in.

[It's a big step - the only other lover she's actually lived with is Jack.
Agatha, having apparently decided Junior is boring and no longer worthy of her attention, jumps up onto the sofa and looks at Lucretia expectantly and mews. (Rough translation: Excuse me human, time for pets.) Beverly laughs.]
And apparently Agatha agrees!

I will not love you if you eat Junior though. You leave it alone, understood? (She gives her a little tap on her nose.)

Christie will be the one we'll have to work on. She won't be happy to have to share my bed.
no subject
Fair enough. We'll take it one step at a time.
no subject
You'd think she'd be used to you by now but... maybe if you're helping to feed her more regularly that will win her over.
no subject
Food is the way to her heart, huh? I sympathise with that.
Do you think I'll be able to let Junior out around them?
no subject
Depends how Junior feels about them, I suppose. I don't think they'll mess with it though.
no subject
(She's not too worried; Junior can fly, after all, and it's a hardy wee thing. Something occurs to her suddenly and she stills in her petting of Agatha, chuckling.)
... We're going to need a bigger bookshelf.
no subject
There are certainly worse problems to have. I think we can fit a few more in the bedroom.
no subject
If our bedroom has both you and a few bookshelves in it, I'm not sure I'll ever have reason to leave it.
