if I get by, it's mine, all mine; [closed]
who: Eames (
personifications) & Arthur (
specifications).
what: A couple of dream thieves decide to steal something real.
when: Mid-March
where: The Abandoned City
warnings: Cursing, violence, crime. Not liable to get much worse, but I'll update if necessary.
[ It's taken longer than he planned on, or really wanted, to gather the resources and, finally, enough information to take to the heist he'd presented to Arthur more than a month prior. But as much as he will adamantly refuse to admit as much aloud, Eames knows that his companion has the right of it in at least trying to be prepared.
Eventually, however, reasoned patience turns to boredom, then worry, and then anxious impatience. Another few days, and he can't swallow it anymore, and he marches right on down the hall, pounding on Arthur's door. It's time, whether he likes it or not.
He'll go alone, if he has to. (The puppy only tempers him so much). ]

He can't keep the annoyance or confusion out of his expression when he sees Eames. ]
What?

You're needed, darling.
[ He doesn't bother asking if it's a bad time. (Any time is a bad time.) Though his intent should be somewhat clear: his typical (
ridiculous) well-put-together ensemble has been replaced with something more akin to "I bought all of this at the sporting goods shop two hours ago." ]
