i. a flash in need of some assistance (open)
[ Wally can't help but think as he deftly avoids another claw strike that his current situation is at least partly his fault. If he hadn't chosen to run ahead when he heard there was some potentially troubling actively somewhere outside the wall, then he wouldn't be facing off against a group of monsters without any backup.
The monsters are proving to be quite the challenge because not only do they possess the aforementioned sharp claws, they are quite strong, quick, and even more concerning, incredibly durable. The one super-speed punch he landed felt like it did more damage to his hand than it did to the beast it connected with.
It becomes clear as he weaves about them with his nifty speedster powers, his bluish-white lightning crackling around him as he does, that this isn't a battle he can win like this. He has no problem dodging whatever attacks the monsters can throw at him, but the combination of their durability and numbers makes it hard for him to do anything significant to gain the advantage.
He comes to the conclusion that the best thing he can do is continue to distract them by being a thorn in their side until some help arrives, or if that doesn't happen, hope the monsters get tired of things before he does as unlikely as that might be. ]
ii. a speedster experimenting (open)
[ The weird thing for Wally about having a bunch of memories from a timeline that no longer exists buried somewhere in his subconscious is the way they can suddenly spring to the surface. Sometimes they are jolted back by an experience, other times they come back for no real reason at all.
The latest memory to come to the surface is how he was able to temporarily lend some of his speed to people and objects already in motion by adding some of his own kinetic energy to boost their velocity. If he has the ability to briefly steal speed from such objects, then it would make sense he'd be able to share it as well.
So in order to test out this new old ability of his, he makes his way to one of the parks wearing his Flash uniform with a rubber ball in hand. He makes sure to find a relatively secluded spot because he's not exactly sure how this is going to go and he doesn't want anyone to get hurt.
His first few attempts consists of him lobbing the ball forward, before he sprints in the same direction, and the ball falling harmlessly to the ground a few feet away from where he tossed it unaffected by whatever he is trying to do. He knows all this must look a little strange for anyone who happens to be watching.
But his fifth attempt is the charm as he repeats the process, but this time, the ball takes off like a rocket and ends up slamming against a tree about twenty feet away with a loud popping noise that is sure to draw some attention from those close by.
He didn't meant to hit the tree, but after speeding over for a quick inspection, he determines it's all right outside of some of the bark being ripped off by the force of which it had been hit. The ball on the other hand has popped upon impact and it's remains are now lying at his feet. All in all, he would deem this little experiment a resounding success.
Of course the next logical step is to see if he can share his speed with other people, and for that, he is going to need a volunteer or two... ]
iii. straight to the heart of the matter (closed to Damian Wayne)
[ It has been a few weeks since Wally has gotten a canister and a whole bunch of new memories from his life back home. He's told the likes of Jason and Cisco about going through with the memory update but has kept the whole thing under wraps otherwise as there's been a lot for him to process.
One of the big things he's been dealing with since acquiring these new memories is what he's going to do in regards to the current Robin.
In an effort to stop the mercenary Deathstroke from going back in time and changing the timeline, the Titan teams had gone to the past where Damian took it upon himself to briefly stop the heart of Wally's past-self as the solution for their problem.
It turned out to be an effective one; momentarily altering the history of the Flash caused Deathstroke to be dragged back to the present where the Titans were able to sever his connection to the Speed Force. The only real change to the timeline was Damian's actions had unintentionally damaged Wally's heart to the point where continuing to use his powers could potentially kill him.
Being too stubborn to give up the one thing he had going in his life, that scenario eventually came to pass later, if only for a moment. It most likely would have been a more permanent death if Wally's younger cousin wasn't able to give him some sort of Speed Force jump start that miraculously fixed whatever issues he had with his heart along with it.
But, just because things worked out and his heart is fine now doesn't mean it's something Wally can easily forget. It's led to his recent interactions with Damian being more awkward than usual, something the boy is sure to have noticed, and it's not a good thing considering the two of them are now living in the same house.
That is why Wally finds himself leaning against the door frame that leads into Damian's room, his arms crossed in front of his chest and a tight smile on his face, as he looks at the younger hero inside. This is a talk they need to have, and with the other residents of the house off doing their own things, this is the moment to have it. ]
So... you stop any hearts today? [ The words are said casually, he doesn't want this to be a confrontation. ] Were you ever going to tell me?

[ That definitely drew this lady's attention. She'd been watching him because, well- Dude kind of stands out! She's still getting used to the non-humans and superheroes just being an every day affair. In her world, most things that strayed too far from the norm hid away. Sometimes in plain sight, sometimes in the shadows of the night. The point is that they aren't often quite so open.
Rose wishes they were though because then more people could see cool stuff like this. And she could tell them how cool it is, like she's going to now. ]
Dude, that was awesome! How'd you do that? Like, you're obviously speedy but- You can make other stuff go fast too? Wicked cool.

I am the king of speed. As for the how, that's a bit of a speedster secret.
[ While he has been quite open about having powers and isn't too concerned about the whole secret identity thing these days, he isn't in a rush to tell people just how his powers works. Nobody can get any funny ideas if they don't know about the existence of the Speed Force in the first place.
He takes a step over to crouch down where the remains of the ball landed and holds what's left of the purple rubber material up for her to see. ]
The ball probably didn't think my powers were cool, though.

[ They're more like lightning bolts, she thinks. Which would make sense! Superheroes are so clever. It's neat. She wishes her world had the masked vigilantes of comics. But she can at least appreciate them actually existing here! ]
Yikes, not at all. You don't do that if you run into something, do you? I'd be concerned for your safety, dude.
(( ooc: heyo! i'm on hiatus until probably mid-april due to life stuff so i will still be painfully slow if you'd rather drop/handwave this and start something new when I get back lmk!!! ))

He knew well enough what he'd done. Did he regret it? Honestly, no, it gave the desired result. Time was fixed and Wilson was stopped. Unfortunately, he had to do something extreme to make it happen. It was one of those hard choices one had to make as a leader, right? Hurt one Speedster to save the world. He pauses turning the page of his book when Wally finally spoke.]
It wasn't on my to-do list, no. [He says calmly and looks up from his book.] Would it have changed anything if I did? [Can't change time Speedster. When are you lot going to learn that?]
So have you let the doctors here have a look at your heart?
no subject
It might have.
[ If he had known he could have potentially ended up with a heart problem, he probably wouldn't have gone through with the memory upload and everything else that entails. Losing the ability to use his powers wouldn't be worth whatever pieces of information he could get about his life back home.
But he does understand why Damian wouldn't be eager to tell him. You can't change what's already been done and there really wasn't much Wally could have done with it besides get upset over something he didn't really know about. ]
Believe it or not, my heart is fine. I mean, it did kinda kill me after I saved Dick. [ It's said as if it's no big deal. ] But you know how it goes.
[ He knows he should provide that he didn't actually remain dead, but he's interested to see how the boy reacts since he seems so calm about this. ]
I;
Aeacinos will move with a fluid grace into the fray the monsters snarling and even stopping in their own assualt to eye the 35ft long humanoid snake. He lets out a hissed snarl, baring fangs as he flexes his claws which are already coated in some dried blood. ]
You are unharmed, yes?

He quickly speeds over next to his Perimeter Guard colleague as it looks like this battle is about to become a rout. ]
Uh... yeah. These things are fast, but I'm faster.
[ He takes advantage of the monsters being momentarily fixated on Aeacinos' presence by rapidly rotating one of his arms to create a whirlwind that lifts one monster off of its feet and sends it crashing into another. It doesn't have nearly quite the impact of what Aeacinos previously did, but it will take them out of the fight for a few moments. ]
I gotta say you got some pretty good timing!

[ He's been picking them off one by one because fighting them all at once would be ill advised, even for a general as experienced as himself. ]
Shall we finish dealing with them then? [ His claws are already stained with blood from his previous fights thus far. He has a few cuts tears in his clothing but it's nothing serious enough to stop Aeacinos. ]

Looks like a bad movie monster come to life.

But he's alone and out numbered and out powered and, yeah okay, shake off the curiosity, focus on helping. It's her job after all, and she's still trying to fix her fucked up karma, so.
She's in a tree with her sniper rifle, perched and waiting for beasts to wander by to stop before they get too close to the wall or catch any wondering civvies outside the wall. It's not easy, he's fast and is getting in her fucking way as she aims. But she manages to get off a shot at one, catching it in the back of the leg and causing it to howl out in pain and pause it's attack at him.
South's fast to pop off a second shot, winging another one across the bridge of it's nose to try and distract it from the speedy little guy. If North was here, he could land better shots without risk of hitting this guy but- nope. Not going down that route. Not thinking about that. Just stay focused, just aim for limbs unless she can get a good shot at a head or torso without risking clipping the guy.
