[It took Roy a really long time to work out that it was always worth going out. It had been a struggle when he'd been at the depths of his depression, to even bother getting out of bed, let alone going out. But in the end it had always been worth it, it had made him feel more human, like he had some connection.

Right now, though, he's way more interested in Finn looking at him like that, dark eyes on him and considering him, and there's something kind of validating about that.
