[ He was ready. The club was just about to open for the night, and he was ready. Otabek felt like a different person when he was here, in the club, working. There was something about the air. He attributed it to way he could see the people dancing to songs and a playlist he had put together. It was different from being on the ice. When he was on the ice, all eyes were on him, but he could never return the favor of seeing how people responded until after the performance was over. He wouldn't know how well he did until he got the score. When he was performing, the response was immediate. He could see how people would respond to him as he worked, and if he didn't feel like the response was positive, he could shift the way things were going immediately. He would stand there, headphones on, moving about his booth as he watched the people enjoy themselves on the floor.
He like the way he made other people feel good. He liked when people enjoyed the things he put together. He was passionate about the shows he did both here and on the ice. He always put his best foot forward. He worked hard. It was why even here, for Element, he had put together a new set. Among the songs were a couple of new remixes he had pulled together quickly. Despite the speed of it, Otabek would never put together a half-assed piece of work and expect others to enjoy it.
Never.
As soon as the club opened, Otabek got started. A laptop had helped him organize a playlist, but after it was set up, he spent most of his time in front of the DJ deck, moving back and forth, and letting his fingers slide over the equipment with a clearly practiced ease. As the night progressed, the room got warm. Maybe it was the bodies moving about.
He shed his jacket he had worn, discarding it to the side, leaving him in a tank and black jeans. His typical attire. He always anticipated it getting too warm, but he knew that if he didn't wear his jacket, it'd be cold when he left, with just his luck.
Then, as the night came to an end for him, he shifted away from the DJ deck and set up a few remaining songs to play automatically. He cleaned up his space, and made his way from behind the booth. People were starting to make their way out of the club, leaving the dance floor. As the club emptied, he made his way outside, slipping on his jacket again, and making his way to his motorcycle (the one, he fondly remembered, Yuri had handed him the keys to). ]

[ The answer comes easily. He knows he is good with a crowd. It's part of his job here and at home - both when he's on the ice and off. He's a shy person, typically, but being up there and performing brings out a different side. He was sure Eichi would do great performing. And even if it wasn't the typical crowd, the right crowd would be here for this. The people would seem to find themselves here. ]
Yes. Let me know if you need any changes in the setup.

[This should be alarming, but Eichi says it so casually, moving to touch the mic just to admire it.]
With that set, I'll get ready and come back out here with a splendid performance.

[ Otabek knows exactly who to call. There's a guy who works security, but also has medical and first aid, so he'll make sure he's readily available. He looks at the stage again, with the lights shining down on it.
It does look to have a nice set up. ]
Do you want to speak with them before you perform?

[He gives a little bow in his appreciation.] I'll be back shortly, okay?

[ He nods, shifting around to the side of the stage and quickly moves down the steps. He steps out to where the audience would be viewing, so that he can see what it would look like from this angle. He's a perfectionist by nature. So when he sees how it looks, he's satisfied. ]

When he sings, it's clear that he puts in 120%. Singing and dancing to go with it, it seems, and even if it's unusual for this city at first, his energy warms people up to it quickly. By the time he's finished, he's thoroughly exhausted and completely thrilled, offering one last wave before he vanishes back stage and immediately places a hand over his chest. He needs to get used to this again; his health is always a difficul thing.]

Eichi is high energy. He knows from experience that keeping that up is tiring. It brings a lot out of you, and the other had mentioned prior to his performance that he had health issues. As his performance came to a close, he makes sure his playlist is ready. Once it ends, it transitions into the first song on his playlist, a song closer to the speed of Eichi's own, and as his playlist progresses, it shifts the style.
He wants it to be smooth.
He makes his way backstage to meet the other. He's not above complimenting a performance. ]
Nice job.

But it went well, after all, and all of that comes out of him in smiles and soft laughs that show his exhaustion.]
Did you like it as well, Otabek-kun? What a thrilling experience it was, performing for a crowd like that. ♪ It's like nothing I've ever done before.

[ The performance, at least, he can admit was enjoyable. Eichi was good at what he did, and even though he was obviously worn out now; Otabek would have never known when he was watching. That alone was impressive. Eichi definitely had talent. Otabek could always appreciate that. These jobs weren't easy. ]
And they've never seen anything like that, either.
[ The audience here was a mixture of people he was used to seeing, and people he was sure who were showing up to see Eichi alone. There were a lot of newcomers. That part was interesting. He hoped, with this, they'd be coming back again in the future. As long as his set was good enough...he was sure. ]

[He smiles, trying not to show his tiredness through it all. If someone is still here, speaking to him, then it's still as if he's performing, right?]
I hope at the very least that I'll be able to see you again.

[ He nods. He'd never say it, but he liked the idea of people coming to see the shows for him. He was a performer at heart, so when people wanted to see him it appealed to that part of him. ]
I'm always around.
[ Although he's a pretty busy person, and spends minimal time in the community housing, his schedule is consistent, and he's here pretty much every evening. ]

[He can try this dancing as a guest thing. It sounds fun, as long as he's feeling healthy that day. With a wink, he promises to come back like this!!]
For now, should I leave you to finish your work? I'll just have to rest here a little, and then I can be on my way and out of yours.

[ Said with all of the sincerity that he can muster, which to a stranger...probably doesn't seem like that much. But he really does mean it. He nods, though. He should get back to work and not continue socializing. ]
Yes. I have to get back to work.
[ He steps away. ]
Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Anyone here can help.
[ He bows his head a little and shifts to return to his work. ]
