[open] we're all the same
who: Ichimatsu
nyahilistic, members of House Matsuno, OPEN.
what: Ichimatsu building a greenhouse.
when: Early February-- likely during Fajro, but before Quantum Tentacles.
where: House Matsuno, specifically the roof, but also anywhere else.
warnings: Swearing, emotional constipation, Ichimatsu.
[The roof seemed like a good place for a greenhouse. Plenty of sunlight, it would be the warmest place, and it was out of the way. He'd probably have to deal with Karamatsu playing his guitar up there, but maybe he could con him into looking after the plants sometimes for him that way.]
[He'd dragged his chest of weird plants, now re-labeled and with proper notes taken on their names and effects, and had the living plants in small planters with the lid to the chest open, the dried ones separated and organized in their own way. He'd never really built something like this before, so he was cross-referencing a few books and videos as he went, but over the course of about a week he had a pretty good structure going. As it stood, he was sitting on the edge of the roof with a bottle of water, taking a break with Nyanko and the kittens Gintoki had given him. He still hadn't decided on their names.]
[By all means, feel free to bother him from the street, or actually come up and figure out what the hell this weird antisocial cat guy has been doing on his roof for a week straight.]

...more than...? [He knows what it means, in theory. He just doesn't want to swallow the words.]

He asked me out a few weeks ago. After the paintball tournament. We’d had a bunch of drinks but that gave him the courage, I think. [he turns to look at Ichimatsu] An’, like, don’t get me wrong... I told him that I was no good! I tried to discourage him... but...

[He should be happy for his brother, and in a way he is, but ultimately it's a cold wash of dread that bleeds slowly from his heart to his fingertips and back. His expression, still, remains impassive, and then he shrugs, looking away.]
...Congratulations. --Ah, I should buy you a beer, or something.
[He hates being this way.]

he hears all these things, on top of the weird reception he got from Karamatsu, and the rather cold congratulatory offering from Ichimatsu.
and he wants to say, "why shouldn't I be happy? you all went off and did your own thing, and left me alone!"
but Osomatsu won't do that to Ichimatsu. he knows the fourth-born scared, the same way he'd be scared. he's upset, the same way Osomatsu was mad when he found out that Karamatsu and Ichimatsu had spent time together in space without him. so he won't lord this over him, he won't pull away from him further]

I won't turn down a free beer!

Introduce me to him sometime. [He should at least meet the man who's going to rightfully take his older brother away.]

[That smile is a little more genuine, though he's turned away from looking at him again. Everything is too loud and too bright, suddenly, and the air around him feels like sandpaper against his skin, so he just closes his eyes and leans against his brother's knees, trying to avoid making it obvious he's overstimulated.]

Right... He's a twin, too. The younger twin, though.

Careful, he might have some kind of weird sibling kink.

[thanks, Aoba]

[He chuffs, nodding.]
Karamatsu's... friend, cleaned up, right? Seragaki? [He's not reached a point where he feels comfortable calling Aoba by his first name.]

[A half-laugh that's mostly just an unimpressed huff of air.]
It's a wonder we lasted even this long on our own.

I mean if I'm a drug dealer now, I'm sure that'll change.
no subject
Maaan, if you get other drug lords after us, I'll kick you in the face.
no subject
I'll do my best, niisan. [Does that mean he will get drug lords after them, or he won't?? We just don't know.]
no subject
at least he got out what he needed to...]

...if I get a little... less social than I already am, don't worry about it.

no subject
...it's nothing to worry about, really. I'm just... Not feeling great. [At least he admitted it.]

I won't. I hate getting sick, and then everybody else'll get sick, and you know how much more dramatic Karamatsu is with a fever.
no subject
Okay, okay. Then I'll stop fussin'! [he pulls away, but then pauses, turning to look over his shoulder at Ichimatsu] Keep up the good work. [he doesn't just mean on the greenhouse, but he's not going to elaborate]
