[Damian sits back holding Goliath and staring up at the sky, then closing his eyes. When he opens them again, he's looking up at his bedroom ceiling. 'That was weird...'

He jumps up to go shove Jon out of his bed for a late night interrogation.]

[ Jon is slowly waking up too with a yawn, rubbing his eyes. ]

— Damian?

You're awake. [Makes sense, if he wasn't dreaming anymore and Jon was actually in his dream with him, then why would he still be sleeping? He actually, didn't have anything to interrogate Jon about now that he thought of it. He more or less just wanted to see him, but like hell was he going to admit that.]

Can't sleep... Let's continue the star reading lesson with real stars. [He points out the window and sits at the foot of Jon's bed, starting the lesson whether you agree or not buddy. Even if Jon falls asleep, the main draw still being that right now he didn't want to be left alone with his own thoughts.]

[ Jon yawns, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and throwing back the covers with a smile. ]

Sure. But you've gotta talk me through all that stuff.

So same as when I usually teach you stuff? [Damian smiles back but gestures for Jon to follow so they can sit by the window. He pulls the covers with him wrapping it over both their shoulders when they're seated.

He starts by pointing out the real North star, taking his time to explain and stopping to check that Jon was following or answering questions. Annie coming to rest by them at some point during the lesson.

The scent a bit like in Damian's dream, but with PJs.]

You're the mentor. Ish.

[ Jon doesn't buy it, but he feels that Damian could use the boost to his ego. It was a rough dream. He shifts closer, looking out into the stars. There were worlds beyond anything they ever knew. One day . . . he wouldn't mind going out and seeing them all. ]

Though these stars are all different.

More than you know. [Damian says, but as usual doesn't explain further.]

Yeah. The north star might not even be north from this planet. [So does that make it the West or South star? If he got a compass, would it even work here? All things he'd have to test in time.]

We should make our own map then. With these new stars.

A map sounds amazing! Can we name them too?

I want to go up there someday. I should be able to.

Of course, we can. I'll let you name the first one. [...He would likely just name the first one he saw "Bat-Star" anyway, so you first, Kent.]

Yeah, you probably can. [Not that he wanted Jon to go...] Just don't go far, maybe just outside the planet's atmosphere to test.

Maybe one of the scientists here can get me set up with a proper tank.

You think you'll need it? When I had powers I went up there with no tank.

[But the chaos crystals seem to work much faster than actual Kryptonian DNA.] How's your flying now anyway? Have you tested it since you got back?

It's getting better! I didn't crash into anything and I seem to be able to sustain it for longer intervals.

[Damian looks pleased with this news. If he had a cookie, you would be getting one right now. Sadly he does not, but next time!]

We can go out past the wall and see if your other powers improved as well. [He might even sound a little excited about that. It's cool to watch, okay? But like hell was he ever going to admit that.]

[ Jon looks a little sheepish, rubbing the back of his neck. ]

I haven't practiced much with the other stuff. I guess I got caught up with flying.

Admittedly, flying is the most fun part. [He nods because he really can't blame ya for this bias.]

It's okay, we have time to test the other stuff. I'm not going anywhere. [Not again.]

[ Jon relaxes with a hum of pleasure. ]

For now, though, let's name some stars.

Sure — Wait.

What kind of names are stars supposed to have?

Usually things like deities or what they were shaped like. The big dipper looked like a big dipper, hence the name... or sometimes people buy a star and name it after themselves. If you want to go the unimaginative route.

[He points to a cluster.] What's that look like to you?

[ Jon pulls out his communicator, doing a quick "google" search. ]

How about Cerith?

[Damian leaned in to look at the screen, then back at the stars.]

Sure, if that's the name you think you'll remember best. [He nods and looks up to find a cluster of his own to name.]

That there. Looks a bit like a dagger. I'll name it "Kabutowari". It's the first type of dagger I was ever given. [That's not at all hard to say or remember! You got that, right, Kent?]

Kah-boo-tah-ware-ee? [Damian repeat slowly. He does this a few times before deeming you a lost cause.]

How about you just call it a "Sky dagger"?
