a (cw lots of monster killing and gore)

[Laura is not the only one out in the snow and cold looking for a kill. Ragnar had been in Riverview only a few weeks and he was itching for a good fight and incredibly curious about the monsters he's heard about who inhabit the wilds outside of the fence.

He's almost worried that this day will end, once again, without either a fight or a glimpse at any beasts. That is until he heard the unmistakable sounds of a fight.

To his credit, he only hesitated for half a second when he came upon a young girl with, what looked like, knives coming out of her hands fighting massive monsters. Now wasn't the time to stop and wonder what was happening, he let instinct and training take over.

He wasn't as agile as she was and he certainly didn't have any kind of healing abilities, but he had an axe and shield and if he was going to die this day then it would be in the glorious blaze of battle. He immediately buried his axe in the skull of the closest monster, turning to block the claws of another with his shield as he yanked his weapon lose. The give and take of battle continued until all of their enemies were dead. Ragnar finished off the last one near him and turned just in time to see an absolutely massive individual fall dead on the young girl. He tried to yell to warn her, but it was far too late. Grimacing, he ran over, dropping his shield, and at first, tried to simply push the thing. It was quickly evident that he'd make no headway that way, so he started chopping. He'd barely gotten a swing in when she burst her way out of the thing, sending more gore flying everywhere.

He offered her a hand, ready to help pull her clear of the carcass.]
