survival of the fittest
who: Bucky and anyone!
what: Bucky is a big old thief, tracks down his name twin, and also goes monster fighting with Clark
when: Anytime between March 8th and March 12th
where: Around Quarantine
warnings: Probably violence
[i: Around Quarantine; open to anyone]
[Bucky has chosen to eschew the communal housing gifted to him, as well as all the benefits that affords. Like food, shelter, and access to a shower. The last two aren't such a big deal, but he needs a lot of food to keep him going, the bastardised serum in his veins makes him burn through calories at a ridiculous rate.
Which is why he's ghosting through Quarantine on the look out for empty housing or possible a not very well attended street food stall, in order to snatch a hand out and take something. He can be found shoplifting in the street; or, if you'd prefer, breaking into your character's housing in search of food.]
[ii: Down a back alley somewhere; closed to Bucky Barnes]
[Ever since he saw that name on the network, his own name, Bucky has been in overdrive trying to figure out what's going on. It takes him a day or so to track down who owns the username, and then another day to just follow them around and try and figure out who they are. It's only when he catches the imposter out alone, whatever he might be doing, that he reveals himself by trying to drag the other man down an alleyway in an explosion of movement and bad decisions.]
[iii: Monster hunting; closed to Clark Kent]
[The perimeter is of interest to Bucky, partially because it means an escape from this town and partially because he knows that Stark is going to be making upgrades to it. It's why he's scouting around it today.
He's too focused on the possible security measures, trying to find surveillance equipment or defence mechanisms, that he has completely failed to notice the large monster shaped like a monstrous caterpillar creeping up behind him on silent feet.]

And of course he manages to grab Scott's wrist. He's an engineer, not some supersoldier with freaky reflexes. He's just a slightly criminal nerd in a suit!
He looks down at his hand, then back up. "Not sure I have a choice, here." But seriously, couldn't he just get you a bagel or something?
no subject
Bucky isn't even slightly apologetic as he uses that grip on Scott's wrist to try and tug him away from the stall and towards a nearby alleyway. Hopefully Scott won't make a scene and drag other people into this, but Bucky is tense and ready for a fight if he does.
If he manages to get Scott down the alley, he'll let him go but block the exit out with his body.
"Who the hell are you?"
no subject
Okay, well, the whole 'you're gonna have to go through me' posture in the alley is a bit less comforting buddy good guy, but by this point, Scott's kind of stuck with it.
"Me! It's me! You know. Ant Man?" Dramatic pause, so his fame can precede him.
no subject
"No, I don't."
Just that. Just a no. His arms fold and he plants himself more securely at the mouth of the alleyway.
"But you know who I am, and you mentioned an airport. Tell me about it."
[ooc: Sorry for the wait, I've been on holiday without internet for a few days.]
no subject
"Did you get hit on the head or something?" That's...not actually supposed to be a joke. He's trying to figure out how the guy could not remember him. Like, at all.
"You and Captain America had to go to Siberia for, I don't know. A thing. We had to fight a bunch of other guys." Scott Lang: not helpful.

Falcon, Sam Wilson, one of Steve's friends. He had thought it was a lie until he came out with details about the other Soldiers that he couldn't have known otherwise, and now here was another person who knew all about it.
"I haven't seen St--Captain America since we fought in DC, six months ago. What you're describing hasn't happened yet."
And never will, if he has his way.
no subject
Oh, right. Sure. Actually, that makes sense. In that 'physics verges onto philosophy' stuff that was normally a bit above his level.
"Yeah, hey, we could be causing some kind of time paradox right now just talking about it." WEIRD.
no subject
He'd much prefer to stay hidden and for all of this to not happen.
"Sam Wilson told me." It shouldn't matter that he gives away that contact, it has to be either him or Steve and he's been avoiding Steve. "So we know each other where you're from?"
no subject
"We met, like ten minutes before the whole airport thing." Wow, that sounded a bit weak. "But, you know, a friend of Captain America? Totally a friend of mine." Despite the fact that half the time it wouldn't work the other way around.
"Look, I'm a good guy, really. Just had a few tough breaks." Really! Kind of.
no subject
"You know that he's here?"
Steve, he means, not Sam. But he doesn't bother to clarify.
"You don't tell him that you've seen me."
no subject
"Uh huh." That's his 'is that voice that kind of sort of but not really but maybe so a threat?' response. "Man, we're on the same side!" You know, work together. Teamwork. Good things!
no subject
"If I find out you've told him, I'll come back to speak to you again."
And believe him, nobody wants that.
no subject
"What's the big deal?" No, seriously, Scott does not get it. The implied threat, he gets, don't get him wrong. It's the whole whyyyyyy behind the threat. "We could maybe figure a way out of here if we got together."
no subject
He doesn't understand why this strange man is being so impervious to his threats. He knows he's pretty intimidating, not something he enjoys most of the time, but it would be useful right about now.
"Just remember what I said."
And with that, he tries to walk away.
no subject
...something.
"Yeah? Well...just YOU remember this!" This is Scott yelling at Bucky's back, most likely. "If you need anything, Ant Man's got your back." Yeah, you heard him. The fearsome and terrible Ant Man!
He runs after just a few steps. "You know where to find me, right?" Just, because, well, he's not good at this stuff yet. Work in progress.
