Hello?

I was wondering if you were doing anything tonight.

[Yes, he was asking her out on a date. Or trying to.]

Dinner and a movie sounds wonderful. What time?
no subject
Maybe like around 7?
[That would give her a few hours, yet. He certainly didn't need much time, but he knew that she might be working or be at classes and all that, so he'd give her time to get home and freshen up. He'd at least learned by now that Lola needed to have her 'look' set right for things.]

*She may have squealed happily before hanging up.*
no subject
He'd left Red home... but still just couldn't really part with that knife...]
no subject
Just about ready, lemme get my boots on.
*She didn't go to kiss him because she needed the extra height from her boots.*
no subject
Sure.
[Keith almost wondered about the kiss, since she was usually pretty quick to do that. But, he waited all the same. He was just glad he had good timing on when to show up. For himself, he was wearing a pretty casual outfit, but not sloppy. And, his usual color scheme... because color-coded anime protags do that, you know. It was appropriate for a nice dinner and movie date without getting super fancy.
Geeze... it felt like forever since he'd done something like this as an actual date. In order to try to seem less impatient by watching her, he tried to calmly take in the area of the house around the door.]
no subject
Ready! What kind of movie is it?
*She grabbed some other warm things for their trip outside, it was cold enough she'd rather be prepared. No hats, hats are the worst.*
no subject
The description said it was a romantic comedy about two people who fall in love, but they're engaged to other people who are wrong for them.
[He shrugged. It wasn't usually his kind of movie, but it had been recommended as a good date movie, so he was willing to give it a try.]
no subject
Sounds fun, heartbreaking if it were real. But should be good.
no subject
Yeah... that would be pretty awful if it was real, I'd think. I still don't know how they turn these things into comedies.
[He shrugged a little as they walked. It was dinner first, then the movie, and then if she wanted to get an actual dessert... or there was the option of dessert.]
no subject
*She snuggled up to his arm as they walked, she'd been through enough that was real she got it, how nice it was when it was silly and light.*
no subject
Yeah. Definitely a better way of looking at it.
[They were close now. The restaurant Keith had picked was a decent all around pub kind of place. Good food, but nothing crazy exotic, since he wasn't one hundred percent sure of what she might like, yet, or anything else really like if there was something she couldn't eat. He didn't want to take her somewhere that would be a total bust.
They didn't have to wait long to be seated, thankfully, and they were put at a small table for two that had them seated across from each other.]
This place seemed pretty good when I looked at the menu.
[He hadn't been on a real date since before Shiro's crew had gone missing from Kerberos, so he felt really rusty and out of practice on this. He just wasn't going to admit that he was nervous.]
no subject
I think it's wonderful.
*Lola, barring the dates from the auction, hadn't had a proper date in since she broke up with Tiny. She'd had a few casual coffees, the occasional fake date with a girl to get free cake, and one or two leading someone on at a bar to get people to tell her she's pretty, but nothing really date-date like. Still, she wasn't feeling rusty or out of place. She was smiling and definitely happy.*
So... are we splitting something or each ordering separately?
