It's Party Time | Open to CR
who: Shiro, Keith, and close CR
what: Keith's birthday
when: Saturday
where: Shiro and Keith's house
A few days since the memories had stopped and a couple of nights of decent sleep and Shiro was back to his normal self. Now that he was feeling better, he remembered that he had missed something: Keith's birthday. Even Keith had forgotten it with everything that was going on. But Shiro needed to fix that.
As discretely as possible, Shiro had gotten an idea of who Keith's friends here were. Of course he also had some idea based on who had come to see Red when the lion had arrived. Some people had been generally curious while others had clearly heard about the lions from Keith and wanted to meet them in person. So he had used that as an opening to figure out how close Keith was to certain people. Once he had had an idea, he had begun to invite people.
The day of Keith's party, he made an excuse to get Keith out of the house for a while so Ed could come over. He needed help to get the decorations up in a short amount of time, plus surprising Keith wasn't necessarily the best thing to do so letting him know at some point there were people at the house was probably a good thing to do so Shiro would have to meet him or stall for time for everything to get arranged.
Which of course he did eventually have to leave to meet Keith once guests had started to arrive. Soon when he returned, it wasn't quite a surprise party for Keith... just a surprise it was for him.
However, Shiro couldn't leave without putting a party hat on Red. It was a party for her paladin after all so she should be festive.
[ooc: open to CR. Party crashers, be aware there are two robot lions - one the size of a liger - and if the host or guest of honor get annoyed with the party crasher, there will likely be a lion or two ushering them towards the door.
invited guests would be - Lola, Marinette, Ed, Hana, Al, Nico, Lyle, Genji, X'rhun. Shiro's going based on what he was able to gather]

Maybe meet her halfway on the kiss, she's short and standing on tiptoes only adds so much? Also Lola is selectively ignoring Red because it just makes all this easier.

She wasn't being too assertive, but she was definitely opening her mouth a little to see if that went anywhere.
no subject
Still, he liked Lola. So he wasn't reluctant to do anything because of that. He was a little nervous about being burned, and that was more of a deep seated issue long in the making than anything to do with Lola specifically.
Eventually, though, he slid his hands around her waist, resting them on the small off her back and holding her against him.]
no subject
That lasts until his hands find the small of her back and she pauses. Now, at this moment she could just keep kissing him. Or she could ask what he was trying to do. One of these won't be super awkward.
...You can see where this is going.
"Were you trying to just hold me, or were you trying to grab my butt? Cause... I don't mind either way."
no subject
"Uh... well, just hold you, right now?" Wasn't it too early for butt grabbing? Maybe? He wasn't sure. His last attempt at a relationship had been an utter disaster, so he was nervous about screwing this up because he knew he had issues reading other people. Though, her comment about not minding either way suddenly tossed him in the position of making a decision here, and he felt like his brain stalled for a second.
Why his thoughts turned to the fact that Red was still sitting there watching them, he wasn't sure, but... well, he used the break in the kissing to move things along in a slightly less exhibitionist direction.
"Hang on..." It really was like having a dog watching him or something, and he shooed Red out the door before closing it again, and then took Lola's hand. It was a loft bed, so they'd have to climb up there, but that was fine. And they could at least be comfortable, right?
The Lion gave an indignant twitch of her tail, and probably would have snorted if she had lungs to snort through a breathable nose with, but that and the little 'huff' like thought she sent in Keith's direction as she stalked out and into one of the other rooms to pout would have to do.
no subject
"So... you didn't want Red seeing you grabbing my butt?"
no subject
"Sorry..." He wasn't sure if kicking Red out of the room kind of wrecked the moment, but he hoped not.
no subject
Lola tilts her head at the apology, "What? This is more comfortable for you, and you got me into your bed. What are you sorry for?" And to just kinda emphasize the point, Lola decided to move from sitting next to Keith on the bed to sitting on Keith on the bed. Which she can do cause she's really small.
no subject
"Oh, well... I meant just... stopping to let Red out..." He faltered a little, feeling like he had to explain, but not really sure if he should. He was going to take the lap sitting as a hint that she was okay with this. He put his arms around her waist, honestly not sure what else to do with them at this point.
no subject
"That just means getting back into it." Lola's smile was a little predatory, little playful, she leaned in to kiss him again. It was the simplest way to get back to things. Sitting down on the bed like this also meant the kiss was a lot more comfortable with the height mitigated by sitting.
In the middle of the kiss she casually lead Keith's hand down from her waist to a place a little lower on her. Like they discussed a little earlier. It seemed the easiest way to remind Keith that Lola was here willingly and entirely okay with fooling around.
no subject
He shifted, intending to lie down with her, but he was a little out of practice and it wasn't all that graceful as they sort of flopped over sideways with a clumsy thump. He flinched.
"Sorry..."
no subject
"Provided you don't knock me off the bed, pull my hair, or hit my head on the ceiling, you're fine." Lola's going to kiss him lightly, "Now, is there anything you want to do before you go to sleep?"
Lola's going to accent the question glancing down him to his clothes. But if he takes that the wrong way so be it. It was an open question after all.
no subject
"It's been a while..." he said.
As Lola eyed his clothes, his head automatically went in that direction considering their current situation. He felt his face get warm, and his eyes widened a little as he almost stuttered.
"Wha-... really?" Wait... how far were they going to go here? They weren't even dating. Was that even okay? Or were they dating? She'd bought the date with him at the auction, but that didn't really count as an actual date, did it? He mentally floundered a bit before shrugging slightly. "Well, I... I can..." He reached down and fumbled a little with the bottom of his shirt.
That was the implied hint, right? GOD he hoped he wasn't wrong.
no subject
Lola's not exactly shy, or overly dressed. Keith however is completely dressed and they're in bed. This seems like an uneven situation. She'll just give him a little space to decide how much clothing he wants off. Also let him move and get out of his clothes. "I'm not, like, planning to have sex. Tonight. But I figured you might wanna do other things. And cuddling is nicer when you're actually ready for bed."
It just seemed reasonable she take the lead, otherwise Keith might forget he's wearing clothes and they'd be all rumpled up by morning. Which would be the worst.
no subject
He also couldn't argue with that logic. He nodded.
"Well, yeah... I'd think so, too." Taking that as a confirmation, he pulled off his shirt. In the dimmed mood lighting of the grotto pool at the masquerade, it might have been hard to see, especially with him mostly under the water, but, up close like this, Lola would definitely see a recent scar that ran from the top of his shoulder down and over his collar bone.
no subject
Of course her eyes do dart to the scar a few times between kisses, but she's trying really hard not to focus on it. it's just kinda really obvious and she kinda wants to ask.
no subject
"What?"
He kind of wanted Lola to actually ask. Plus, waiting for that might give him the time to figure out how much he wanted to answer about it. After all, he was pretty sure she'd never met someone who wasn't 100% human before, and he was a little nervous to find out what she might think of that.
no subject
She's not really getting he isn't human, but that isn't really where her mind is right now.
no subject
"I was in a fight." It was the simplest way to explain it. "Maybe... later, okay?" He didn't want to talk about it now. He felt like it would ruin everything.
Keith reached up and took Lola's hand in his own, meeting her eyes again.
"I don't want to wreck the mood."
Though, if she insisted, he'd relent and tell her.
no subject
Then curled up next to him as she resumed kissing. That bit of information had to be distracting in all the exciting ways right? That's how Lola thought this would work anyway.
