- [For as much as Eichi wanted to continue his life like normal, singing and performing and growing just like that, he knew that things would never be the same here as they were back home. There was too much that was different here, and rather than sit in his apartment and let everyone else do everything, he wanted to be able to go out and see things for himself. He wanted to know what was going on.
That's why he'd agreed to training in the first place, and that had only led to embarrassment and hospitalization. His body wasn't made for this. So how was he supposed to do anything? That shame led him to the river now, to a quiet spot where he thinks no one would bother coming. Swiping at air only makes him tired, and so he's carved out a little target in a tree and is taking his time throwing his daggers at it.
Surprisingly, a fair amount of them do hit their mark, but they slide uselessly against the tree rather than sticking in like he was hoping. He's so lost in this, and he's not made for fighting at all, so if anyone comes to close, they might find a dagger flying past them and towards his marked tree before he calls out in surprised worry. Either that, or he's busy picking up the few of them from the tree and footsteps make him fumble and knick his own finger.]

- [Eichi is a performer at 4 different night clubs, and also frequently tries to get out and do anything he can, so he can be found just about anywhere! Feel free to make up any scenario with running into him at his work or on the street, or message me at

- [Finally, they were able to get out and do something. There had been the show the night before, and Eichi was certainly excited to see his friend there and supporting him, but this was entirely different. He could relax and do something he wasn't used to himself. This was the sort of fun he enjoyed, casually looking through shops and recommending things for each other, and experiencing this sort of "normal" life.
It's why he's so pleased when he pushes a whole formed outfit at Líadan, gesturing towards the dressing rooms with his free hand.]
We'll take turns, just like this, okay? Try these on, since this sort of thing seems like it would suit Líadan-chan completely.
Closed to Gladiolus
- [That festival was still going on. Eichi had gone to it already, seen all there was to see, and now he didn't even want to go out for very long, worried that the lanterns would remind him of how separated he was from everyone else. Things were entirely different, and as casual as he wanted to be about death, he was still worried about his own.
These thoughts have him pacing his room a couple of times before he settles to lean against the wall shared with Gladio, considering for a moment. His neighbor was home enough during this hour, for one reason or another. Eichi wasn't actually sure— had he gone to that festival at all? Maybe he shouldn't bother him. Maybe he should stay on his own and find something to do...
But he really can't stand that thought, right now, so instead, he knocks a few times against the wall his back is leaning against, waiting for a reply.]
anyway,
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.
He isn't so bad, not yet - right now he's lazy with his laundry and naps too much, and when he's not napping he's playing the same goddamn mobile game on his phone at top volume. All the time. The repetitive beeping of combat sounds and tinny music would be enough, but Noctis likes to spice it up, or rather, doesn't pay any mind to whatever Eichi is doing on his side of the room at all.
This means, of course, that every so often something super great will happen in his stupid game, and he'll half-sit up to wave his fist in the air and shout "YES" without warning. He is truly a gift.]

But his dreams were broken the moment Noct left his first bottle out without throwing it into the trashcan literally a foot away. What started as a minor annoyance was quickly and rapidly growing into something a lot more bothersome, and Eichi wasn't about to sit around and let it get to the point where he'd go insane.
That latest shout interrupts him practicing his newest routine, and as he stumbles his steps and turns around to stare at the reason for his mess up, he knows he won't be noticed at all, like this. Without his status to back him up here, his warning stares won't scare anyone.
So, still in his practice clothes, he abandons his practice for now and moves over to Noct's location, hands on his hips as he stares down at him.]
Since I've begun practicing, you've shouted like that six times, you know. [He hasn't been practicing all that long.] Have you been playing the same game?
no subject
But he looks up now. Nice outfit? Weird as usual.]
Sorry, but I really needed this drop item. [He holds up his phone when he says this, like Eichi cares.] I'll be good now.
no subject
What type of game are you playing? You're as excited as you had been while fishing. Is it an RPG?
no subject
Eichi sitting on his bed is going to make him have to sit up in a minute, isn't it? He's not sitting up yet, so good luck understanding his dumb game from this angle. He'll just keep beeping while he poorly explains.]
Yeah. [great] It's called King's Knight, and I'm finally a decent level with this character— [beep boop hang on, killing monsters, he's distracted.]
no subject
[He's practically sitting on this guy and he's not being noticed? He wants to stay polite, but he's still going to lean over impossibly to try and see this screen. Sit up, weirdo.]
The combat noises are so loud that it drains out everything else. And don't those item noises bother you? Where's the plot of this story?
no subject
But uh... look, Eichi, he doesn't care about any of that. He got sweet drops and leveled up a bunch, and nothing else matters. Side glance...] The item noises are helping me save the kingdom.
no subject
[But now that Noct is sitting up, he can sit back a little himself so that their arms brush, watching his screen from here.] It would be unusual for a game to be hyper realistic and bother with things like rations for your army and real war tactics, but isn't that a little like a children's game?
[He's judging this game until he hears more!!]
no subject
Nobody thinks army rations are fun. What kind of games are you playing?
no subject
[Show him...]
no subject
What's the big deal? It's just something to do on my phone.
no subject
[He's leaning closer, teach him about video games!!]
this is the real plot i found it
So, fine. He sighs, holding his phone a little more between them, so Eichi can stop getting up in his grill like this.]
Here. You play as the hero and go on a journey to... save a princess from a dragon. [sad trombone noise, it's cooler than it sounds!!] And there's a multiplayer mode, but that won't do any good here.
jesus christ
[He's not even trying to insult it so much as genuinely questioning. How can he like something that sounds like it's straight out of a storybook??] You've spent so much time playing this, I thought the princess would be saved by now.
no subject
I'm leveling up. The drops, remember? What's the point without the right gear?
no subject
[That's just tapping a screen. Who plays a game like that??] This is why you haven't cleaned up at all?
no subject
Seriously? Go back to your own side.
no subject
[He isn't moving out of the way of his taken space, so Noct can try but he won't be able to stretch out as much as before. And now, Eichi is reaching out with his hand.]
You're acting far too lazy for someone your age. Wake up, we were having a conversation, you know? It's rude to ignore me. I'll have to punish you~.
no subject
You're on my bed. [stop,,,] Since when is giving me a hard time a conversation?
no subject
And your pants are currently thrown over our shared couch. At least I'm decent. [He's just saying.] As much as you might think it, I'm not trying to give you a "hard time." I'm only trying to understand, since I did not have a childhood with anything like "heroes" or things like that.
The appeal of something out of reach isn't something that I can grasp. But it must be something thrilling if you continue to play it with such focus.
no subject
It's really just a game...
[That's not going to be good enough to stop this menace either, is it? Really, he can't express any more directly that he just likes wasting time killing monsters in this game, without all that meaningful "hero" stuff.
He sighs... but fine. He'll save, like, four times, and then hold up the phone so Eichi can see he's gone as far as restarting the app for him. He's not allowed to hold the phone, Noctis will hold it for him, but here.]
Press start.
no subject
You're letting me play? I don't know how to do this at all...
[He says that, but he'll follow instructions and tap along and probably get sucked into this fairly easy. He really had no childhood okay...]
no subject
[Yeah, while he lies here and holds up the phone and doesn't explain anything at all. Eichi will just have to figure out what to do with his, like, level 80 character in the middle of 12 useless quests.
Good luck, buddy.]
no subject
Look, he got some drops, too! It's enough to earn a laugh.]
Are these the drops you're talking about? So, I'm helping you like this? I simply press and pick them up? [He is learning so much and nagging so much less...]
no subject
Yeah, you're doing great. [He won't say he already has some of these drops...] If you tap twice you can auto-equip the gear.
[maybe, i'm bullshitting the rest of this]
