who: ellie and hana song
what: bonding

[She doesn't need to hunt. She keeps telling herself that. She can go to the supermarket, pick up whatever she wants. She can take it back to Taako and he'll turn it into something that's fucking delicious, and she'll have leftovers for days.

But she tells herself she can't justify letting her skills decline. Sooner or later, she has to go back. And when she does, she isn't going to have supermarkets, or food every day, or an endless supply of hot water.

So she's hunting. She's already got one rabbit dead, gutted, and tied off to her backpack, and she's stalking another. She hasn't quite decided if she'll shoot it yet, but if nothing else, the tracking is good practice. She follows it across several game trails and through some underbrush, and then she.

Stops. Stares. Outloud:]

What the hell is that?

[It's said in incredulity and awe, because she is definitely looking at a gigantic pink... robot? Given the last time she met something robotic looking and it turned out to be not only sentient but human, she decides to treat this one a little differently.]

Uh... hey there?

[please talk to her this is so cool please come on]

[ The pink robot, regrettably, is not sentient, and it give no response to Ellie's tentative greeting. But it's clear from the way the machinery is still whirring with a low hum, and the fact that there are faint lights coming from within - beyond the glass canopy in its front - that whatever this thing is, it's running. Even in its compacted, standby form with the fusion cannons folded downward and the mech's legs bent more than its usual, it's still quite a presence especially in the midst of all the green of the woods.

What does speak back, however, is one Hana Song, emerging from beyond a thicket of leaves somewhere nearby with her phone out in one hand and a pink blaster in the other. She'd heard the voice coming from where she had left her mech and evidently came hurrying back, a leaf or two still stuck to her suit and, if one looked closely enough, the selfie she had been taking wherever the hell she ran off to was still up on her screen. She's just a little winded when she calls out as soon as she has visual: ]

Hey, stop right there! What are you doing with my mech?!
