Jim is a repeat offender in that aspect, but really, plenty of people on their crew are like that. Most aren't quite as dramatic as Jim, but even Spock, who's supposed to be the embodiment of logic and complete lack of emotion, is just as given to flights of rashness and impulsiveness. ]
