I won't mind showing you around sometime. It's a pretty big place, and it has a lot of information available. [ His lips quirk in slight amusement at her question. ] I don't think you'll have much luck with that, though. It's probably cheating, you know? Trying to take a peek into your future.

[ He can see the appeal, definitely, but he hasn't been particularly tempted to look too deeply himself. He does have Beverly here, who comes from a hundred years in his future, and while she does come from a slightly different timeline, Jim is sure she could tell him a lot about the future were he to ask— and were she willing to share. But he'd rather not know, really. ]

Yes, exactly. A comm device, exactly like it. [ Smartphones are an ancient thing for Jim, but he's not unfamiliar with them. They're plenty useful around here, and about as advanced as the devices he himself is used to back in his world. ] Well, you can navigate the network, search information, listen to music, take pictures, play games, even check the weather or available maps... There's a lot you can do with these. Handy little things.

[ Her last words make one thing clear for him: she's one of those people who don't intend on staying here long, not if she can help it. ]
