[ Before, when Taako had brought up memory magic, and the voidfish, Cisco's responses had been horrified and, notably, paranoid. He'd pressed for details on how he would know, if his brain had been messed with. As if he just assumed any bad thing that were possible could happen to him, if he didn't take specific steps to avert it. That almost reflexive fear of the worst, that Cisco often did his best to disguise as a joke, had been a part of him for as long as Taako had known him. But right now, it is simply nowhere to be seen.
