"Magnus, I'm curious but I'm not tempted." That seemed to be the right phrasing considering who they were discussing. "He's just as much a legend to Nephilim as the Angel. You can't blame me for wanting to know how much of our beliefs are true." But it was more than that. Lucifer was interesting, but it wasn't enough to make Alec think of him in a way that would make Magnus jealous. "The Devil is charming, but he isn't you."

But Alec knew that his husband would worry. "He's here, Magnus. There's no way for us to get away from a Prince of Hell if he wants to make us a target. I want to stay here and be happy with my family. With you." Lifting their joined hands, he brushed a kiss against Magnus' knuckles before letting his tone turn light. "Because Max has been trying to read anything with words on it since we got him glasses."
