Max was excited about the new home because it meant he got to have a room to himself again and wouldn't have to be grossed out by walking in on anyone making out. He had a moment's concern about the nightclub but they'd be far enough away from it that any noise wouldn't be a problem. He wanted to make one of the rooms a library and have a quiet place to read, not really having any interest in scooping the nightclub out.

When Alec dropped the news about Lucifer, Max quietly thought about it for a moment. While he didn't think Alec was infallible, he also didn't think Alec would do anything to put any of them in danger just to have a nice place to live. And that was enough for him, so instead of doing any scolding, he wandered off to poke around the rooms and put a stake on one of the bedrooms that would be right by one he could convince his siblings to turn into a library.
