"At this point, I wouldn't be entirely surprised," he said with a wry smile, shaking his head. There were definitely some interesting people in the city that they'd been brought to, and with Lucifer on the list, Magnus' suspension of disbelief was growing stronger. "Let's hope to find one with more perks but less risk." Not that it was likely, in the end, but it was a bit of dark humor in imagining them shopping around for a demon deal to suit their desires.
Closing his eyes, melting against Alec's hand as always, he wrapped his fingers around his wrist to keep him close. He could smell the distinct scent that could only be described as Alec, a mixture of sandalwood from Magnus along with leather and the salt of his skin. "How could I forget that?" he asked softly, unable to believe that he could ever block something like that from his mind. Even if it had been done to him, surely that would be one of the important memories to claw itself to the surface again. Shaking his head, he looked up at Alec with golden eyes. "How could you have survived that?"
