It could be useful. Kate found it easy to agree to that statement. Everything was useful because everything was born out of a want or desire. It was needed in some way, even if you weren't sure what way that was. She wondered the purpose of these books were. To spread information was the obvious though but besides that, books can also bring comfort or they could be an escape.

There are too many guesses.

"In a sense." She spoke softly, her fingers gently running along the metal lock. "I didn't get a chance to go to college before." There were many things that Kate didn't get the chance to do. "I didn't plan for the future. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do and what I like. I signed up for Archology and Engineering classes to start."

It wasn't anything fancy and Kate was ahead enough in her studies to already know about a fourth of the subject matter but it was interesting to learn about new things. "I've been told there are a lot of ruins here. I thought maybe there might be an answer out there." Though, she'd have few ways to protect herself if she ever left the city proper.
