"You guys are family." She held up a hand to hush him so she could keep talking but in the process she slips and grabs onto Jason's arm, managing to use him to keep herself upright on the skates. "I just mean, that you guys are fated in a way. No matter what happens you'll be brought back together. It's up to you with what you want to do with it."

Kate looked up at him with a kind smile. "I won't push you or anything like that. This is a date. It's supposed to be fun right." She laughed while trying to stand up straight on her skates but only managed to fall back against Jason again. It was a good thing that he had more balance than her. "I learned some Spanish but that was because I've spent the last half year in Mexico." Not including a brief point in time where she managed to go home to Texas.
