Vincent still had a lot to learn about this place, he'd realized. If he was going to defend it, he needed to understand what he was defending. The last time he'd been a bodyguard, even if it had been a very specific situation, it had turned out so badly, he wanted to make sure this Quarantine wasn't up to anything nefarious. He didn't know if the library would offer him any more additional information, but it was worth a look. People said there were materials from other worlds to be found here, as well, and that piqued his curiosity.
Though he'd been provided other clothing, and they even fit, and even though he'd been given the funds to purchase more, and even though he'd bought clean pants and shirts (dark in color), he still wore the cloak. It was a part of him, a comfort, and a reminder of home. It was fortunate there were so many beings here from so many different worlds meant he received few stares, not that Vincent would have minded in the first place.
As he made his way into the library, he wandered. He didn't have a specific destination in mind. More than anything, he wanted to see what this place had to offer. It was the sounds of the lock tumblers clicking that caught his attention as his crimson eyes scanned the titles along a bookshelf near Kate's table and he stepped from its shadows to investigate.
Ah. They'd met at the beach, and...they'd spoken. He found himself wondering what she was doing.

"Kate."
