Kate had asked Jason to meet her outside of the Communal Housing at 5:00 pm sharp. She didn't know if he'd be on time but she was excited for what she had planned. It was the delay of their date that gave her the idea and she silently hoped that he'd enjoy the surprise.

The air was cooling as the sun set though it was still summer and hot muggy weather had fallen over the city. Kate was dressed in a cute outfit that she was able to move around in. As always, she wore her silver cross around her neck. It was the one piece of jewelry that she never took off.

She watched the city as she waited, observing those who walked by and smiling at anyone she made contact with.
