Both Kate and the man turned to look at Eddie. Kate instantly registered that Eddie had a gun, having been around a lot of people who carried weapons in the past. She took a half step back from her attacker and leveled a confident glare at him. "He was just leaving." Her tone gave him no room to argue with her.

Kate wasn't a fan of backing down. Even if she didn't have the skills or weapons to defend herself she'd stand her ground.

The stranger took a little bit longer to register that not only did Eddie have a gun but that he was silently threatening to use it. He looked as if he'd been rudely interrupted and that it was not at all his fault. He turned more towards Eddie, the alcohol making his movements slow and disjointed. "What are you going to do?" The man asked Eddie, slurring his words together while completely ignoring Kate.
