[It's the first time that Wanda's watched him get undressed for her. Shoes and socks are nothing but the pants and more...it's all new. She watches from the bed, eyes warm with anticipation. For a man with his acrobatic history and current profession as a police officer, his legs are as well muscled as she'd have expected...
But the fact that he pauses before he pulls his shirt off is odd. Her expression freezes, brows knitting together with brief confusion--that passes as he seems to make a decision. Passes as he pulls his shirt off after all and reveals all of the scars that lay beneath.
It's more than she's ever seen on anyone before, and Wanda's watched former agents of SHIELD, Avengers train together. Former soldiers. At once, she wants to ask him what happened to him. She wants to know where each and every one of those scars came from and find out what his life has been like that he carries all of those every day. And all with the ability to still be so light and carefree with her. She sees the fear in his expression, almost feels it coming off of him and it's almost like biting her tongue to keep from reaching out with her powers. But Dick doesn't know about that side of her powers, and she'd never invade his privacy that way.
There's something there and she can see that he's worried that now that she knows, now that she's seen those scars she'll reject him.
These thoughts flicker through her mind in an instant, and there's barely a moment's hesitation before she reaches out to take his hand, using it to pull herself up. Wanda scoots in, still only partially undressed, and winds her arms around behind his neck the same way she has every time before. Her lips find his, and she shows him through action that she accepts it. Whatever the story is behind those scars, it's significant. His hesitation in showing her speaks volumes, and the last thing that she'll do is push him now when already it's clear that it was a hard choice for him to make to show her at all. To take this step. More significant than coming to her bed. She breaks the kiss to say just one thing:] Wherever they came from, you're still you and I still want you here.
