[Wanda would be lying if she said she hadn't thought about taking things further with Dick, especially after the exhibition. It's something she thought about relatively early on, if nothing else than in a distant sort of speculative way. Would they come to enjoy each other's company enough to get to that point in the future, perhaps?
And the more they got to know each other the more she found herself thinking about it less in a hypothetical sense and more in an...anticipatory way. The sort of way where she not only expected that it could or would happen. But that she wanted it to. But having sex with someone in a way that isn't in the heat of the moment, an act meant to be life-affirming after the latest battle in the streets or bombings from above seems different. Bigger. Especially in light of the fact that someday they're both going to go home and be separated from one another.
And while Dick isn't at all implying that it's what he wants now, not with words or even tone of voice or expression, it's what comes to mind. That she doesn't want to let him leave her at the front step of her home. She doesn't want to just invite him to stay overnight with her like he has before, fully clothed and cuddling her as they both drift off to sleep.
Eyes dilating slightly, Wanda seems still with the rush of her contemplation and the realization that follows.]
Then maybe you shouldn't have to. Maybe...you could consider going home with the girl tonight.
[And she hopes, hopes that he understands what she's implying. That the way she speaks to him now, the emphasis she lays on her words, not teasing anymore, make her invitation clear.]
