It's not a compliment he necessarily needed in return, but he's still pleased to get it, flashing Illya a grin. There are a lot of ways that Illya reminds him of Magnus, but there's an openness to Magnus that he never really sees from Illya, and that's fine; it isn't something Taako expects or needs, though it is nice to get it on occasion.
