[ Alec doesn't do parties. He doesn't do festivals. He doesn't do this whole socializing thing as a whole, unless a job calls for it. Even then, attending an event like this for work was a whole different animal, and required a whole different mindset.
But, being in a totally new place with totally new people meant Alec needed to get the lay of the land, even if he wasn't meeting anyone directly. That would come in time.
