Yikes.

[ That sounds like a story and a half, and now thanks to his vibe, it's harder for Cisco to avoid conjuring up a mental image of it, when he's actually seen what Merle looks like. Ugh. No thanks. Sometime, he's going to have to ask how matters even came to that eventuality, but right now he's content to just leave it at 'I heard him fuck a plant'.

There's no mistaking the sheer relief that comes over Cisco when Taako says he won't tell anyone about his powers. It's actually a sign of trust, that Cisco doesn't press the point and double-check that Taako really means it. Cisco believes him, the tension gradually easing from his shoulders. ]

Thanks.

[ As for Taako's stupid question, well. It's less of a question and more of a bullseye right to the truth, calling him out. Cisco shifts his weight from foot to foot, combs his fingers through Garyl's mane as he shrugs. ]

Not really.

[ He doesn't think "desperately trying to pretend it isn't happening" is really what Taako means by trying to control his powers. The only control he's ever really tried to exert on his own is trying to break free from the visions, while they are happening. Right before he'd come to this place, he'd actually wished for one, for the first time. He'd gone into his lab and touched the sand on the slide so he could get a sense where Patty was being held. But that had been an anomaly, and a terrible choice, since it was what made Stein realize the truth. But he feels the need to justify himself, to make it clear that he hasn't done nothing. ]

One time, back home, my friends needed... needed information from one of my visions. About a timeline that got changed. And they figured out that putting me in a lucid dream with these goggles I made would make that happen. But it was, like. [ Cisco keeps his eyes fixed to Garyl's mane, not looking at Taako, and it's a bit suspicious how carefully bland his voice is describing all this, considering how animated and full of inflections and emotions Cisco's speech patterns usually are. ] Horrible. So. Not really looking for a repeat of... that.

[ Another shrug, just to show that it's all casual and not a big deal, nope, not even a little. Isn't he so convincing? ]

I haven't got a clue how I would even start to practice it or control it even if I wanted to. I don't know what triggers them in the first place.
