"No, you haven't asked." People usually weren't begging Ronan to play for them. He hadn't expected Adam to be interested, especially given Ronan's history of sneaking into Aglionby late at night and playing the bagpipes really loud outside of one of his bullies' room.

"And no, I'm not," he answered the second question, one that he and his Adam had discussed several times. "I promised Dad we'd find another ley line if he stopped stealing from Cabeswater. You know." Honestly, Ronan wasn't convinced that Adam did, which was why he added. "He wants me to follow in his footsteps or whatever." Ronan did not sound terribly thrilled with this prospect.
