Luxuries. Everything he talks about sounds like a luxury to her. The man's right in guessing that she isn't interested in debating the finer details of bow ownership. Especially with someone who seems like he's currently overthinking every detail of his search. He's not incorrect with his ideas but again, in Katniss' eyes, it comes down to luxuries. Opportunities she never had when choosing a bow to hunt with. Maybe it makes her a little bitter. Mostly, she just wants to ignore it.

"Pick one and try it," she suggests, her tone a little dismissive despite the advice she's offering. Following her own words, Katniss picks up a simple longbow that reminds her of her father's. She walks over to the small range set up beside the stand and takes the arrow offered to her. The string seems taut, and one she can replace if need be with sinew as it wears. Moreover, the bow seems to be a good size for someone her height. Although she'd prefer to have a tab or glove to use while shooting, she's not going to be picky.

She stands perpendicular to the target, her grip relaxed on the handle. Katniss noches the arrow on to the string and lets the shaft rest on the arrow rest. She exhales as she pulls back, eyeing the bullseye in the center. It's a lot easier than shooting a squirrel in the eye - and it's a lot closer. It's easy to pull back the string and a couple of seconds later, she lets it loose. The arrow lands in the target with a satisfying sound.
