I think I've gotten pretty good adjusting to it." Maybe someday he'd figure out a way to find ways to fix the reason why he was allergic, but that may not happen here with the medical field pretty far behind that of his time.

He really didn't like drinking too much anymore so he tried to look past it and answer Re-L's comment. "Gotta tell ya, poetry does not come from hard liquor or Jim Kirk. Well, unless he's quoting it." Smirking, he crossed his arms on the bar surface edge.
"Gold suits him metaphorically." Looked good with his eyes, too. "But I gotta say, he looks pretty damn amazing in blue colors. But wearing my uniform shirt is a pretty big demotion." Smirking just a little, he was going to agree with him not being sweet like she said until she said what she really thought fit him. Well, that just pulled a laugh out of him instantly. The sound was sudden and unexpected making him smile probably as wide as he'd ever dare in public, eyes lighting up with amusement.
