[ Angela takes a moment to decide what story she is going to tell. This is really more Sera's forte, but she figures she's spent enough time around her to be able to pick up a thing or two. She still holds slim hope that Sera might find her way through the portal, so she will reserve any stories that involve her beloved, and tell her own stories instead. ]

Recently, I found myself kidnapped and incarcerated on the Badoon prison planet Xalda-Volta. The Brotherhood of the Badoon are a race of conquerers who enslave civilians and wage war across the galaxy. They kidnapped me because they needed more power to fill the void left by the retreating Kree and Skrull Empires. Xalda-Volta was home to thousands of captured slaves, who were forced to mine the planet for materials to support the Badoon.

I was rescued by my friends, the Guardians of the Galaxy, though one among them was taken back to the Badoon homeworld, Moord, to face the Monsters of the Badoon in gladiatorial combat. Along with the remaining Guardians, I staged a daring rescue. We attempted to reason with the leaders of the Badoon, but when diplomacy took too long, I beheaded their leader and ended it.

[ That last part is said as the waitress comes over with their drinks, a stunned look on her face. Angela, seemingly not noticing her misstep in speaking so casually of beheading, accepts her fruity drink and takes a sip. ]
